3.5 stars for Juked! I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. I didn't love it but I didn't dislike it. I feel like it read a little bit more like a novella than a full length novel. I would have loved to have seen more of the character's friendship and romance develop. This is is one of the instances where I felt like I was being "told" that they were best friends and attracted to each other more than I actually "saw" it happening. Put the character development issues aside, and all in all I really did enjoy this story. Daniel was amazing, and Quincy was very likable for a romance novel heroine. She didn't need a man in her life, but she accepted him for who he was. It was a fun and quick read, and I wasn't disappointed by it. I'm actually looking forward to reading Groupie and plan to purchase it after my next couple of reads!

First time I have ever read this author and just loved this book!! It is 186 pages of great reading of a pro soccer player and a women who becomes a mom when her sister dies in an car accident. These two find each other and become good friends, that turns into best friends with benefits. Daniel comes from a big mexican family, while Quincy just lost her last living relative. That is until she finds she gained a nephew from her little sister who died unexpectedly. Mrs. Carter did a wonderful job of telling this story. Had a hard time putting it down for it flowed so well. The whole story is just great in that it did not drag things on and on and the relationship with Daniel and Quincy was fun to read about. Highly recommend this book!!!****

4.5 Stars This one definitely pulls at your heart and emotions. I knew right from the beginning I was to keep some tissues close. There are some heartbreaking moments in this one and just feel so much for these characters. I definitely was emotionally invested with the characters especially for Quincy and Chance. Playboy soccer player Daniel may have just found the one woman worth hanging up that hat. I liked how Daniel and Quincy met because at such a sad moment something beautiful emerged. This book is a good example of life doesn't always go according to plan, but those us curve balls that show us how much we can handle. Quincy is overwhelmed and may be at her breaking point, but someone was looking out for her when Daniel comes into her life. Now these two people create an unlikely friendship, but the attraction pulls too hard these two as well. Neither wants a relationship, but what happens when you realize the real deal is staring you in the face..
