Although short at 176 pages, Laura Bradford keeps things interesting. Cute budding romance, crazy killer, wacky characters including a psychic, what's not to like?

I really enjoyed this book. Elise is a new reporter in town and gets to start off with a murder. When more bodies start turning up, everyone is on edge. Mitch the detective in charge is determined to stop this killer before they hit again. The mystery was excellent when it starts to tie in with a fortune teller, I found it unique. I kept guessing between a couple of people, I think I figured it a little before Mitch and Elise. The characters are likable, and you feel the pain of the people who have lost a loved one. I will definitely continue on with this series.

Plot is rather trite and predictable, except for the identity of the criminal near the end of the story. ----- LME

A good story that kept me guessing. A good list of possible suspects -> kind of like figuring out a puzzle. It also had just the right amount of romance in the mix.

Jury of One is a great mystery that kept me guessing throughout. I couldn't put it down until I knew who did it. It would be a great book to read at the beach. I would be searching for the salt water taffy and buttery popcorn on the boardwalk but definitely avoiding the fortune teller booths. I really liked the characters and can't wait for the next one.

To tell the truth, I can't believe this is an actual attempt at creating a murder mystery. The writing style is laughable as well as infantile. The dialogue is inane and the story line is absurd. My wife and I both read it and found it amusing which isn't the desired reaction the author expected. I feel bad writing such a scathing review, but I have to be truthful. We won't be reading any more books from this author.
