Sawyer Weston is cocky and arrogant. With his sinful smile and sexy dimples, he's gotten his way most of his life. Infamous for his one-night stands and moves between the sheets, the lead singer for Bastards and Dangerous has never considered relationships--until he meets her.

With her curvy body, sarcastic mouth, and uncanny ability to put Sawyer in his place, Amelia Greyson has captured his heart. She can see into his soul and knows what he truly wants from life. Sawyer has a problem, though--she's dating his twin brother Noah.

Although he wants her with every breath he takes, Sawyer and Noah's complicated history prevents him from making a move on her.

Just an Illusion--Unplugged tells Sawyer's story. Every thought, every feeling, are yours for the taking. Are you ready?

If you have not read the previous 3 books in this series, STOP NOW! Go back and read those first! You MUST read those in order to truly understand and appreciate this story. Now that I've scared off those that haven't read, read on to those that have. This is the story but from Sawyer's POV. You can't even say same story because you get Sawyer's unique perspective on the events and Mel and Noah and just everything in only a way Sawyer tells it. I didn't realize that I had some questions lingering from the 3 books but after starting and reading Unplugged, I had SO many A-HA (not the band) moments. I always wanted Sawyer and Mel to get together but it was enlightening to see his POV with Mel and Noah's relationship and the Marilyn thing and how that changed their twin dynamic. Oh I can't wait for the next one!!! There's not a cliffhanger but there's SO much left to be told.

The Illusion series is one fo my favorites of all time. So I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ms. Kelly was writing more about my favorite characters. In JAI Unplugged we get to see the same events but from Sawyer’s perspective. It was heart breaking to see how hard it was for Sawyer to fight his feelings for Amelia. I admired his strength and his dedication to his relationship with his brother, Noah. I also enjoyed getting to see that he and Belle had a friendship that I wasn’t aware of in the previous books. Although most of this book was Sawyers view of how things went down in the beginning, we also got to see a small glimpse of his and Mel’s life now. I loved reading Unplugged and I can’t wait to get the rest of the story in the next book.

The Perfect Conclusion to this amazing series !! Wow i am not quite sure where to begin. This book and series is so much more than just Rock Stars finding the loves of their life. It’s family, friends, bonds that are unbreakable, love that’s profound, soul mates, band mates, strength, drama, angst, and above all it brings all the complications of life and family right into your heart. Before reading these books I’d also recommend a few boxes of tissues, yeah you will definitely need them. This final book brings us Sawyer’s story from the previous books, and I found it incredibly hard to read, considering the heartbreak, i still hadn’t recovered from with the other books. We follow this band and their family, friends and relationships through every trial, and ups and downs. Noah and Sawyer’s relationship as twins was never in any danger, but at times their life caused many a rift, yet their loyalty and love shone. What would break many person, made these two guys stronger. We get Sawyers words, thoughts and feelings, and its one hell of an emotional ride. We see his pain, his love and his whole heart through some of the most traumatic times in life a person will have to deal with. and i was shredded, i dealt with it all right there with him, with uncontrollable tears yet glued and addicted to every word. He healed my soul. The attachment you feel with every character in these books just won’t let you go, its a family you want to belong to, its friends you want to have and its men that you want to hold close, because how the hell do you ever climb out of the hole, when everything you live for is gone and half of your soul will never be replaced.

I want to give this book all of the million stars I could possibly give. This original trilogy completely shattered me and the story will live with me forever. This book told from Sawyer's point of view had me reliving this breath taking story again, but from his point of view. I was always #teamnoah, and was completely shattered in book 3. This book has made me see Sawyer in a completely different light and I'm falling in love with him all over again, only this time from the beginning of their story. These characters are near and dear to my heart with such a heart-breaking story. This is a special trip back to hear Sawyer tell their story. I absolutely loved it even though I felt my heart break all over again. This is such a great series. I can't get enough of these people. Absolutely loved it!

This series will always hold a special place in my heart. My only hope when I began reading Unplugged was that the author wouldn’t minimize the love between Noah and Mel because I’ve seen other authors do it and it totally ruins the series for me. Thank the stars Ms. Kelly stayed true to both love stories. I really enjoyed reading about Sawyer and Belle’s “secret” friendship. It spoke a lot to who the two of them are. I also liked the bit of the present we got at the beginning and end of the story but otherwise this is a hard review for me to write. I really wanted to love this book and was anticipating Sawyer’s POV but overall it didn’t do it for me, I didn’t feel as connected to this story as I was to the other three books. It felt like the story was written just to be written. Almost every single conversation revolves around either Noah or Mel. I didn’t feel that I really learned anything new about Sawyer. I do seem to be in the minority but it’s how I feel. It will not change how I feel about the rest of the series, the author or even Sawyer’s next book. I hope in that one we get to see his interactions with his family and Nate while Mel withdrew from everyone and that we get more present time.

OMG! This book just made me realize why I fell in love with this series to begin with, not that it's hard to remember. This author knows how to give you a story that will make you FEEL because even though I know what happens, this one still had my heart racing. I loved getting Sawyer's perspective on how he was feeling and dealing with everything concerning Noah and Mel. I absolutely loved reading about these characters again and this book made me miss Noah even more. However, I'm so happy that Sawyer found his forever and I absolutely loved the update on him, Mel and their family, including Darren and Cadence(Cady). It's said that Sawyer's story can't be told in one book and I definitely look forward to the rest of the story. This book makes me want to read this series again starting with the very first book. There is no way to read this series and not fall in love with it and if you've read this series and loved it, this book will not disappoint.

Sawyer's Side!! ***First - if you haven't read the previous books in this serious... stop right here and go back and read them! This book should NOT be read first. You've been warned. I will do my best to review this with no spoilers but I can't make any promises. I was SO excited when the author announced she was going to tell the JAI (Just an Illusion) story from Sawyer's point of view. Sawyer's side of the story explained SO much about his actions, reactions, etc. from the previous books. It explained just how much he fought to keep his feelings to himself and not come between Noah and Mel. I'll be honest, it took me a while to read this book. Knowing events that occur and not knowing where in the timeline of things this book would end had me slowing down. Only one other book I've read had me crying over a character and I knew this book and the events from Sawyer's point of view would be tough for me to read. With that being said, I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to reading the next one when it releases. This series will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions so be prepared! Just when you think you know this story and nothing is new... BAM, you have no idea!

Sawyer, where do I start ?? Sawyer Weston, be still my beating heart! Being inside his head has made me love him so much more! He’s so selfless in regards to his twin Noah, so utterly selfless that he will back off, there are no words as i finished and admired his strength, his capacity for the love of his brother just breaks my heart! His heart is just beautiful! If you haven’t read the Just an Illusion series, you are missing out and you definitely need to read them before you read Sawyers POV! My heart hurt, I was just surprised as all get out and just wanted to give him a big hug and tell him everything will be ok!

D. Kelly has an innate ability to wrap you up in a cocoon of emotion like no other. Going into this book, I honestly didn't believe that my heart could break any more or that my opinions would change about the decisions made by Noah and Sawyer. Furthermore, I wasn't sure how much more the author could add to their story just by providing a different point of view. Oh, how I was wrong! Every moment and interaction was new. This book's main focus was on the twins. The author dove deep into Noah and Sawyer's love for one another as well as the animosity that sometimes bubbled just below the surface. We were able to experience how the decisions each made altered the dynamics of their relationship and Sawyer's sense of self. It became clear that every part of Sawyer's life was tied to Noah's - his future as a musician as well as the way he felt about his worth. The author also provided some insight into Sawyer's relationships with family and friends, which added to the depth of his character. I loved getting to know the loving, selfless, and tortured soul that existed within the self-deprecating, bad boy rock star he portrayed to the outside world. I can't wait to see where the author takes us next! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of this book.

I chose to not reread Side A or B before reading Unplugged. Although everything in Unplugged is familiar, it still feels like a whole new book. Some snippets of conversation are repeated, but not enough to feel repetitive or to get bored. I enjoyed getting Sawyer’s POV. I loved seeing the friendship between him and Belle develop. This book was not nearly as emotional as the other books, but my eyes kept welling up at thoughts of future events. I can’t wait to get the rest of Sawyer’s POV.

I loved Sawyer throughout the series so finding that there was going to be a book from his point of view, I couldn't wait!! I will admit I was a bit reluctant for this book because sometimes author's will write a companion book to a series from a different point of view and really bring nothing more than what the reader already knows about the characters. Unplugged was EVERYTHING and more and I hoped for from The Illusion series!!! I could not put this book down and read it in one sitting. Even though I knew some of what would be covered from the other books in the series, seeing things through Sawyer's eyes made the story seem new and gave me all the feels all over again. The thought and depth of Sawyer's character made me love him even more ~ I didn't think that could be possible!!! The love between Noah and Sawyer as brothers and twins runs so deep. I had so much more understanding of their history and why both brothers acted the way they did. It gave gave all of the characters more depth and just strengthened my love for this series even more...didn't think that could even happen!!! I can't wait to read more from Sawyer!! This series is just amazing and I can't stress enough how much I love this story and this author's writing!!

~5 +++++ STARS~ Wow! What can you say about a book this phenomenal? D. Kelly has amazed me yet again. I shouldn’t be surprised because every book she writes continues to be better. She has brought me to tears many times in this series, and she does it again with this book. However, with tears of sadness also comes tears of joy! Unplugged is one of my top 10 reads of 2018, and one of my all-time favorite reads. I’m so glad that this is Sawyer’s story. We all know the story from Mel’s perspective but not his. There is so much I want to say, but I can’t. I don’t dare take away anything from the series, so I won’t be giving away any spoilers. Sawyer is so much more than I even imagined he was. His emotions were raw and real, and I have always loved him. He’s the epitome of a sexy rock star, but he has a special internal quality that always tugged at my heart. Sawyer has never been a fan of relationships until Amelia (Mel) enters his and his twin brother, Noah’s lives. She has no problem putting him in his place and doesn’t swoon over him like other women do. But, she also sees into Sawyer’s heart. The two grow closer, but Mel’s heart belongs to Noah. This complicates things because as much as he wants her, he loves his brother. As much as this is a book is about Sawyer’s love for Mel, it’s also about book about Sawyer’s love for his brother. As the author wrote in her synopsis, this is Sawyer’s story, “every thought and every feeling.” What a bittersweet and emotional story it is! I cannot recommend this series enough!!!! If you are looking for an emotional romance, look no further than Mel, Sawyer, and Noah! You will not be disappointed! ***Read and Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***

How can you improve on profection? Well, you have Dee Kelly write a book from Sawyer’s point of view and boy does she knock it out of the park! For anyone who has followed Just an Illusion series you are going to see our favorite bad boy, Sawyer and his take on anything BAD, Noah and Mel. It’s a great read that even though, you know how the story of Noah and Mel goes (tear, tear) it’s great to see it from Sawyer’s prospective. There is no question I’ll be waiting on pins and needles for the second half of Sawyer and Mel’s story. This is truly a series I can’t get enough of. I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.

I have loved this series from the very beginning and each book is a little more heart-wrenching than the next but you read it in Sawyer's POV and........WOW! Being able to read and understand the dynamics of each relationship proves the bond and loyalty they all had with one another. I definitely had a soft spot for Noah when reading the previous books but with this book Sawyer has captured my heart. Reading his story will give you all the FEELS! Prepare yourself for one beautiful story about love and second chances.
