Martha Hamlett resides in Lynchburg, Virginia with her husband, Phil, and two boys, Noah and Christian. Her stories are inspired by her adventures as a young girl and by her own boys, who are always entertaining her with their antics. She enjoys making reading fun and encourages children to use their imagination.
Her first book, "Bats in the Air, Bats in My Hair," was shared throughout the state of Virginia at school readings, school book fairs, and at various teacher's conferences such as Longwood University's Summer Literacy Institute.
Martha collaborated with Illustrator, Davey Morgan, on both "Bats in the Air, Bats in My Hair" and "Just One More Game" to bring them to life. Davey is able to grab the reader's attention with his detailed and fun illustrations and draw them into the main character's adventures. He is experienced not only in illustration, but printmaking and photography as well. He received his bachelor's degree in visual art from Erskine College.
