About the Author

Multi independent music award winning Grammy artist Matt Annecharico's career in the entertainment industry spans more than 28 years with experience ranging from theatre, film and television acting to a successful career as an independent recording artist. He is a registered songwriter with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), a voting member of The Recording Academy and Executive Director of London-based artist development record label Dreamscope Media Group Ltd.

After the release of his debut Christian influenced “Difference” album, Annecharico released his critically acclaimed album “Mirrors”. $1 from every sale of the album is donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of Matt’s cousin who passed away from the disease. In 2009 he won the Pop Single of the Year award at the Phoenix Music Awards and Pop Artist of the Year at the Charlotte Music Awards. He was also the recipient of the Pop Album of the Year and Pop Single of the Year at the Los Angeles Music Awards as well as nominated for Pop Song of the Year at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards for his songs "Daylight" and "Honestly".

Following the “Mirrors” release, Walt Disney Records hired Matt to record the singing voice of Aladdin for the stage production of “Aladdin” at Disneyland Hong Kong. Meanwhile, he was invited by the Michael Jackson family to perform Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone” at a memorial that the family was having to commemorate the one year anniversary of Jackson’s passing. After which, Jackson’s mother, Katherine, asked Annecharico to record the song. His recording received the Pop Single of the Year award at the Los Angeles Music Awards and all of the proceeds benefited The Trevor Project, a LGBTQ crisis hotline.

Since living in England, he has been commissioned to write and record a song alongside West End stage actress Patti Boulaye to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as the longest reigning monarch in British history.

His new album, due out in Autumn 2019, shows a more mature and edgier side of Matt but still keeps the pop/rock nuances that he is known for. In all, Matt’s fan base spans an impressive 60 countries worldwide.
