Chapter One

Britney was watching the cartoon channel.

Suddenly she felt as though she was not alone anymore. A mysterious shadow had appeared behind her.

"Whoooaaaaa! What's that? Who are you? What are you doing here? This cage is protected by a camera system, you know. Go away!"

"I was just looking at the funny things in the box there. What's that?

"It's a TV. Wait a minute; are you going to tell me you don't know what a TV is? Are you an alien?"

"No! I'm a rat—a rat from the market. And you cutie, what are you—a hippie with long hair?"

"You really come from the market? You don't know about TVs and hamsters?"
