I love this book, it just shows you how friends can become family. You might think different because it is pretty sad but I think this is a very touching story. And not to brag or any thing but my uncle wrote this and now he has a new dog named Lucy!

Seldom have I read a book that I enjoyed this much! Katie is the dog I have always dreamed of having and would love to have. Failing that, being immersed in this book is the next best thing. Katie comes alive in these pages, and I was able to vicariously 'own' her ..... I find that there aren't enough superlatives to describe Katie and her amazing, bubbly, and caring personality! You won't regret buying this NookBook! It has stayed on my 'Currently Reading' shelf since I first got it. Thank you, Glenn, for writing this wonderful book!!

Yes this story is heart wrenching. Yes it is mushy. Yes it is predictable. Yes it is a Hallmark story. It is refreshing to read, as people just don't bother w/one another any more & if it takes a dog to get people to open up to one another then that is greast & all benefit. I hope all enjoy it as much as I did.

This is a fantastic story! Loved every minute of reading it. I am not a reader but this is the second true story of a dog that have I have truely enjoyed. It's amazing the effect animals can have in our lives. If you're looking for another great dog's story I would also recommend reading Oogy. Enjoy!

This book was warm, loving and very touching! It reminded me so much of my own two cocker spaniels! One an adopted retired show dog who was indeed a "princess" and fancied herself so and a male cocker raised from puppyhood. I loved the family they fashioned for themselves and the love and support it provided for Mr. Plaskin. This book was sometimes like wrapping a warm blanket around yourself. The love was that palpable. I'd highly reccomend this book for all animal lovers.
