About the Author

PT McHugh didn't start out as a storyteller. He was, however, born into a family of that encouraged imagination.
He was just as surprised as everyone else when he realized that he believed in magic, and might just know the secret of how to jump through time. Since then, he's been researching the possibility and learning everything he can about history. Just in case. Broken Stone is his first novella, and the second in the Stone Ends series.

As a teacher I was so pleased to see a YA book that did not involve vampires and demons! This age group is in dire need of stimulation in the areas of history and science since those subjects are being left behind in this age of teaching for the purpose of passing tests. The characters are believeable, the science is fascinating and age appropriately discussed, and the history is right on target. Add that a major historical figure whose remains were actually just discovered is a significant player in the plot and BAM! I am so excited by the opportunities this will bring to my class! Recommended for home school situations as well.

P.T. McHugh pens "Keeper of the Black Stones" in a nice, easy, smoothly paced plot filled with time travel and a touch of humor. I found his characters to be well developed and relate-able to the point where you actually cared what was happening to them. I totally enjoyed this book and look forward to more! Highly recommended for all time travel adventure fans. This review is based on a complimentary copy from the author which was provided for an honest review.

I was sent “Keeper of the Black Stones” for review.  I like history so chances are I’ll enjoy most time travel stories.  This book was no exception.  I love time travel stories because every place has a history.  As long as no two authors send me to the same place and time, I’m bound to enjoy the story.  This book sent me to 15th century England, which I haven’t visited before.  It’s well written and adventurous.  The author’s version of time travel was very imaginative.  All the characters were great but my favorite was Paul.  Paul is the smart mouth, got-your-back (in any century) best friend everyone wants with them on an adventure.  Even in the most difficult of times you can count on his type of character to make you smile.  It did take me awhile to get interested in the story but once they go back in time I became page-flipping excited.  I’m such a dork, when I read about the ribbon theory of time, I got way too excited.  Why was I excited??  I knew what the ribbon theory was because I watch ‘The Big Bang Theory’….yes that connection  got me excited…can you say DORK!!!  I give “Keeper of the Black Stones” 4/5 stars.  I’m looking forward to reading more about Jason and his friends’ adventures through time.
