This was my first book by Lacey Wolfe and I loved it. Her writing style was very easy to read and her characters were all very likeable and real. The story-line was great and I couldn’t put the book down. It was a sweet love story. It start with waitress Lily Jenkins who had to move in with her mother who has Alzheimer's. She and her son, Gunther, are settling in but she’s busy and has no time to date. Officer Cody Duncan is a good looking guy who gave up on love years ago but while he and his sister’s were having lunch and Lily was serving, not only did Lily spill hot coffee on Cody but hot sparks were felt between the two of them. Even though LIly doesn’t think she has time for Cody she can’t deny her feelings for Cody and he is trying to be patient for her. The story is beautifully written about the two of them and also covers Lily caring for her mother and worrying about her son. This may be the first book by this author for me but certainly not my last. I highly recommend it. Can I give it 6 stars???

This was a super fast and very sweet read. I really adored both the main characters. Lily had so much on her plate. I admired her a lot for all that she was going through. Cody is just so sweet and very sexy. He wasn't looking for love but once he found it he wouldn't give up on it. Lily was also really funny and endearing. She normally wasn't a very klutzy person but around Cody she couldn't seem to help it. There were some steamy scenes but nothing extremely graphic. This is part of a series but I had absolutely no trouble reading it. Other characters connect throughout the book but I didn't feel lost in any way from not having read their stories. I did really enjoy the authors writing style so I'm very interested in reading the rest of the series.

This was a Sweet story. I even had a Few laughs along the way..  The last thing Lilly and Cody are looking for is love.  Lilly has so much going on at home being a single mother and taking care of her sick mom.  Cody had his heart broken in his last relationship. Lilly in no way want to start a relationship because with so much on her plate she feels she has no time to spare.   I loved the way Cody was just a concerned about Lilly's son as he was about her..  Can they overcome their own insecurities and become more than Friends..

Lacey Wolfe captured me from the opening encounter between Lily and Cody and didn't let me go until the end. Lily is a dedicated single mother who is taking care of her Mother who is dealing with Alzheimer's. She feels like the weight of the world is on her shoulders as she tries to help her son make the transition to a new town and she gets used to her new job at the diner. Cody Duncan thought he found love but then had his heart smashed. When he sees Lily for the first time, it's like a light bulb goes off for him and his world begins to open again. The question will be can he break through Lily's tough exterior so she will let him into her world? There is a freshness to their romance that is sweet, sexy and just keeps you reading.
