Meet the Author

Suzanne discovered romance novels in her aunt's hidden stash one summer as a teenager. From that moment on she knew two things: she loved romance stories and someday she'd be writing her own. Her love for romances has only grown over the years. It took her a number of years and a secondary career as a nurse to finally start writing her own stories.

A double finalist in the Romance Writer's of America's 2006 Golden Heart with her manuscripts, KIDNAPPED (Long Contemporary Category) and HUNTED (Romantic Suspense), Suzanne has also won The Beacon Unpublished and the CTRWA's contests in the erotica categories with her book, The Surrender Of Lacy Morgan.(Ellora's Cave Publishing)

Suzanne's sexy stories, whether they be her steamy Western Eroticas, her on the edge of your seat romantic suspense, or the heart warming small town stories, will keep you thinking about her characters long after their Happy Ever After is achieved.

Loved this book. It has well-developed characters along with a good mystery and just enough romance to keep it interesting. This is the first novel written by Suzanne Ferrell that I have read but it won't be the last. Don't hesitate to read this story. It is well written and will hold your interest until the end.

If you like romantic suspense you won't be disappointed. Ms Ferrell turns in another winner. You can't help but fall in love with the hero as he struggles to save Nicky's life. Jake does what he has to do despite being wounded himself. Ferrell's writing is vivid and she makes each scene come alive with telling details. I thought the heroine's inner thoughts were intriguing and fun when in the middle of being kidnapped, trussed up on the floor of her suburban, she's thinking she really should've vacuumed. That made me like her right away. Oh, she panicked at the appropriate time. But she felt so real to me in that moment when the trash made her feel like she should've cleaned.

A dramatic mystery dealing with a nurse, an undercover FBI agent and a Russian child needing rescue from the Russian mafia

## I definitely enjoyed reading this book. The heroine was amazingly strong, capable and loving. It took me a while to warm up to the hero, because of how he treated the heroine in the beginning. Also, the fact that he slept with young prostitutes was a turn off for me. But it is definitely still worth your time and money.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit as it had a little of everything, heartbreak, loss, love, mystery, adventure, action, likable characters...etc. Its hard to find a book with all these elements and have out turn out good and not overbearing and Kidnapped managed to pull it off very nicely. Sami was your typical loving and nurturing character, she is a nurse after all, but after losing her young child to cancer, she withdraws into herself to the point that the only things she cares about are her job and her heartbreak. So, while Jake's method in acquiring her help left much to be desired, I say everything worked out quite happily for all parties involved, including sweet and super smart Nicky. Plus Sami turned out to be quite courageous and a great ally! Of course Jake was your usual tough cop, alpha male. He works alone, depends on no one and doesn't enjoy asking for help. That is until Sami comes into the picture and makes him realize that sometimes you have no choice but to ask and rely on friends and family and that's okay. There is your typical running into danger and not caring one iota whether you live or die, until, of course, something bad happens to Sami and Nicky and that's when Jake realizes that he's in love and wants to live...like I said typical! Despite these mini flaws in Jake and Sami alike, it was a really engaging read and was quite enjoyable... SR

Nice mystery / romance with likeable characters. I would prefer less descriptive sex but otherwise really liked it. Note to author: In the epilogue, Sami would not be able to retrieve the prescriptions from her purse to show Jake if her purse was lost in tlhe car abandonded in the freezing water after the accident.

This was a great romantic suspense - heavy on the suspense. Jake was an FBI agent who had been undercover for 3 years. He had worked his way into the Russian mafia as an enforcer when his cover was blown. He ran, taking "Little Partner", 9-year-old Nicholai, with him. The boy had been tortured by the mafia and would kill him, which Jake couldn't allow. Jake kidnapped a nurse when she was leaving the hospital so that she could patch Nicky up. Samantha was terrified but stitched both Jake and Nicky's wounds, keeping them alive. This fast-paced book had me on the edge of my seat wondering if the gang that was after Nicky and Jake would catch them. It was even more exciting when they found out about Sami, endangering her life, too. Someone on the police department was in the Russian's pocket so Jake couldn't get help there. I liked how Sami was instrumental in finding a safe place to hide from the gang. She also got her brothers to help them. They were all in some form of police work, so they had skills and access to information the runaways needed. I gave this well-written book 4.5 stars, rounded to 5. I really enjoyed this story and its terrific characters. Jake was a handsome FBI agent who was a little rough-around-the-edges after living undercover for so long. He was used to living alone and not depending on anybody but himself. He was distant with everyone except Nicky, who he was kind and gentle with. Even though Sami was still grieving the loss of her young daughter, years earlier, she was a strong, competent woman who stayed calm throughout the chases and gun battles. I liked Sami but her skills were too good to be true so I found some of the things she did to be unbelievable. I loved Nicky. He wanted to learn everything he could about America and was a terrific kid. I really enjoyed this exciting book.

This one has it all! A suspenseful plot full of action, romance with just enough steamy action, and two remarkable and unforgettable children. The hero Jake and the heroine Sami are well drawn characters, each battling memories of devestating past losses, that color every current action and decision they make. When undercover FBI agent Jake kidnaps Sami from the parking lot of the hospital where she works as a nurse, he believes she can save him and his little witness 9 year old Nicky from the injuries they sustained from the Russian mafia group he was investigating. Little does he know, that with his actions, he has literally saved Sami and given her a reason to live. I thoroughly enjoyed this riveting story and recommend it to all fans of romantic suspense novels.

Great book. The chemistry between Jake and Sami is hot. The suspense keeps you on your toes, you never guess who it is until the end. If you like a good romantic suspense this is a great pick.
