Kidnapped and Bound: Kidnapped, Book 2 by Blushing Books, Arabella Kingsley

One moonlit night, Lady Eleanor Gerard finds herself bound, gagged, kidnapped and receiving a firm bare bottom spanking at the hand of her fiancé, in his carriage a week before their marriage.

Lord Grange means to sell her in payment for a large gambling debt to the formidable dangerous rake known as The Viscount. He owns an exclusive club for rich Regency gentlemen where they can gamble, enjoy pleasurable time with one of the captured women in his harem or buy and sell a woman in a bride sale.

Eleanor is stripped and assessed by the Viscount and his friends without hopes of rescue. But when the handsome dark eyed young man sitting next to the Viscount views her with an attracted and unexpected protective eye, Eleanor finds herself taking courage she might not be lost to the Viscount in a life of servitude.

Lord Drake Morgan is a rake but disproving of the Viscount and his ways. When Lord Morgan views the helpless yet feisty and obstinate Lady Gerard, he experiences a strong attraction. He wonders if she is not the woman to satisfy his need to dominate, protect and lovingly discipline within the confines of marriage itself. It is clear her reckless stubborn nature causes her safety and well being to be compromised and he yearns to correct her with a series of much needed, firm bare bottom spankings and a turn with his riding crop. Perhaps she is the woman to tame his restless spirit afterall.

About the Author

I live in the UK, in the leafy county of Hertfordshire, just outside London with my husband, daughter and dog called Domino. I started my career as a Legal Executive and then decided to change direction and attend University to study History. It was during this time that I gave birth to my thirteen-year-old daughter. I then returned to University to complete a postgraduate degree in History. My passion is writing novels, in particular historical & action romance, gothic romance, fantasy, romantic thrillers and erotica. When I am not writing I love walking in the nearby woods connecting with nature. I am also a Spiritualist Medium and have many stories to tell about my encounters with spirits and past lives which I often translate into my writing.

A good read, written in the first person who is our heroine. She is abducted by her fiancée to be sold to settle gambling debts. She is spanked and whipped, played with by lesbian maids, shot, kidnapped and eventually submits to her new lover. A good read with plenty of action and the author paints the scene quite well. I would have given 5 stars if the book had been longer. Peter Saunders.

This was just what you expect when you buy a book like this! It started out quite quickly, which I really liked. No messing around, she is kidnapped. You find out the details as our heroine tells her story. Lots of action, lots of spanking and very erotic. Great job with this one!

The premise for "Kidnapped and Bound" was hot, hot, HOT! A woman is given away to settle a gambling debt - by her own betrothed, no less! There is lots of explicit spanking and sexual action, and I was delighted to see some creativity in those scenes (it's not often that authors are brave enough to tweak a 'classic' formula). The treatment of the women in general didn't bother me either, as this book is quite obviously a fantasy and what is erotic fiction for if not to delve into forbidden, delicious territory? I did only give 4 stars because the book was a little too short for my liking (the ending seemed a little hurried compared to the beginning), and because the language used, whilst clever, just distracted me on occasions (it's written in the first person but the heroine frequently describes herself as though she were doing so in the third person, which was awkward for me to read at times). Overall, however, this is a hot bdsm/spanking romance set in the early 19th century and if you like the thought of a woman being spanked and pleasured against her will (though she does enjoy it), I would highly recommend giving it a go!

Elanor has gotten into a really bad spot and the person she trusted enough to agree to marry is the person who put her there.  She is treated so harshly and yet she finds herself responding.  Lord Drake seems to be in with the whole bunch yet is different and she finds that she does trust him.  But in the end can they both agree that that they want the same thing or does she have to choose between seeking love or being content without.  This one is a very dramatic historical.

I received this book as part of Blushing Books “ARC” program in exchange for an honest review.  Lady Gerard is kidnapped from her home by her finance’ and given off to the Viscount to settle a debt. She is outraged, as well she should be, but takes an interest in Lord Drake. She notices how he seems concerned for her as she is brought into a room full of men and examined.  Her humiliation turns to confusion as Lord Drake whispers in her ear to trust him. Unbeknownst to Lady Gerard he must go through the motions of spanking her and bringing her to orgasm to keep his cover. She is deeply aroused by his touches though her ordeal has left her feeling used. This scene plays out for numerous chapters. The descriptions are good but not varied enough for details of her body and positions. There are several paragraphs in a row that use the same words and actions over and over. This distracted me away from the story which is unfortunate since I contacted very quickly to both main characters.  After the one extended scene, aside from Lady Gerard’s capture and delivery to the Viscount, there are only a few more scenes before the end. This left so many unanswered questions. I feel if Lord Drake’s point of view had been included it would feel more complete.  Overall very well written but not much action outside of how Lady Gerard reacts to her examination. A strong three point five star short read. I will definitely try another title by Arabella Kingsley.Review by Adaline Raine - website would not allow name to show.

Wow! Finally a story with spankings! Lady Eleanor Girard is kidnapped by her own fiancé to be given to the Viscount to pay off his gambling debts. She, of course, is not happy about this and lets him know. So, Lord Grange gives her her first spanking in the carriage while still tied and gagged. When she is brought into the Viscount’s home, she views scenes that she has never imagined. Women naked being taken and being spanked. And, despite herself, she is aroused by the scenes. Finally, the Viscount wishes to see her naked and, of course, she objects. The Viscount goes to whip her and she is rescued by Lord Drake. Lord Drake is taken by Eleanor, but he needs to be seen as ruthless. So, he whispers to her to obey while he strips her and then spanks her. Eventually brings her to orgasm in front of the other men. What ensues is a wonderful story that I wish had been longer. There are spankings galore. And other shocking things! LOL I highly recommend this story. It is well written and the characters have depth to them. And, of course, there is a happy ending!

I really enjoyed this story. It has a lot of the components I love, such as love, romance, danger, betrayal and some sexy stuff too :) Great characters and plot made for a great read. I wish it was longer though because I would have happily kept reading. I received this book from Blushing Books Publishing as an Advanced Reader Copy
