About the Author

Sue was born and raised in the small town of Grinnell, Iowa. At the age of 21, she moved her family—parents and all—to the beautiful Ozarks region of Missouri where they have lived since. She is blessed with an adoring husband, two wonderful kids, the best sister in the world, and amazing parents. Writing has always been a passion in her life, to which family and friends can attest. From her first attempt at a spin-off of Dick and Jane, to her latest novel, her heart and soul has been poured into each word. Her most sincere wish is that you will find as much enjoyment in reading her stories as she did in their creation.

Elizabeth Ashby was born and raised in Danger Cove and now uses her literary talent to tell stories about the town she knows and loves. Ms. Ashby has penned several Danger Cove Mysteries, which are published by Gemma Halliday Publishing. While she does admit to taking some poetic license in her storytelling, she loves to incorporate the real people and places of her hometown into her stories. She says anyone who visits Danger Cove is fair game for her poisoned pen, so tourists beware! When she's not writing, Ms. Ashby enjoys gardening, taking long walks along the Pacific coastline, and curling up with a hot cup of tea, her cat, Sherlock, and a thrilling novel.

women-sleuths, amateur sleuth, cozy mystery, murder, humor, romance, twisty The odd parents save Bree from her disastrous attempt at a Hollywood career and get to leave the B&B in her care while they have a special getaway, and she works hard to prove that they didn't murder the man who fell on her when the carpenter opened the back wall of the closet. Add in the disgraced BFF, the attentions of the carpenter, crazy neighbors on each side, her brother the law intern, and some disastrous encounters with local law enforcement, and you have very fertile ground for hilarious verbal and situational humor. Another excellent cozy from Danger Cove!

I enjoyed the book and characters but when it ended it seemed like there was more left to the story? Ended maybe where the author could pick back up?

This was my second Danger Cove mystery. I enjoyed it as much as the first. i think the different authors and characters for each book, is a clever way to do the series. Not that i'd mind way more interaction between some of my favorites in each story. in this one, Bree's dream of being rich and famous in LA just isnt' happening fast enough. She's going to have to go stay with her parents. They are professional remodelers, and often move when a rehab calls to them. at the moment, they are in danger cove. So Bree goes to Danger Cove and agrees to help her parents with the B&B while they go off on a trip for her mom's birthday. They aren't gone 24 hours when Bree finds something hiding in her closet... My favorite characters in the story were definitely Bree's parents. Not only was it funny to see Bree in all her awkward glory every time her parents showed their affections towards each other, but it was also hilarious that they named her Summer Breeze

This was one of my favorites in this Danger Cove town!! I love that Mal is from Scotland. I enjoyed the bed and breakfast aspect and that the parents are stuck in the 80's. I can not wait to read the next one!

Great read! I love meeting the new characters from the Danger Cove series written by each new author and also seeing what past characters they run into. T. Sue Versteeg has done a great job!

Great Book! This is a great book; this is the first book in the Danger Cove B&B Mystery series by Elizabeth Ashby and T. Sue Versteeg. Bree Milford had dreams of living the glamorous life in California, but when she ends up broke she comes back home to live with her parents in the town of Danger Cove. Her parents own a Bed & Breakfast and leave her in charge the day after she arrives home. When the sexy handyman tries to expand the small closet and dead body falls out of the wall and lands on top of Bree. When her parents end up being the number one suspect she puts her sleuthing skills to the test. If you are looking for a great mystery with some humor that will leave you guessing until the end then you need to read this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Summer Breeze or Bree as she prefers to be called comes to Danger Cove after her career in the big city crashed and burned. Her friend, Cris, llcomes with her for moral support and to wait out the scandal that has her in the headlines not in a positive way. They are going to take care of Bree's parents Bed and Breakfast while they go on a cruise. They are to stay in the apartment over the garage. When Bree asks her parents if the closet can be expanded, they tell her to ask their handyman, Mal, to check it out. Mal knocks out a section of the wallboard to see if there is any room. Out tumbles a dead body all wrapped in plastic and taped. The body falls on top of Bree. More dead bodies, her parents are arrested, her brother comes to help, and strange neighbors all lead to a story with drama and a surprise ending. The Danger Cove books are a pleasant, easy read. The characters carryover and new ones are interesting and fun. I enjoy small town stories with a little mystery and the continuity of characters. It feels like coming home when you read them!

Loved the fast-paced plot and can’t wait for the second Danger Cove B & B book as the suspense and intrigue continues! Bree’s parents are hilarious in this book; I could just imagine them in my mind. The characters are so well written that the author really pulls you into the mystery and you don’t ever want to put the book down until you get to the end and then you want more, but guess what, there is a sequel in the works!

I have loved the Danger Cove series so far and was excited to see the next installment was written by T. Sue VerSteeg. Killer Closet Case did not disappoint! Bree reluctantly heads to her parents to figure out her life after not finding success as an actress/model in Hollywood. With her best friend, Cristal, in tow, they head to the quaint and charming Danger Cove. Bree's parents leave her in charge while they go on a mini vacation. It should be an easy job until the bodies start piling up. Bree, Cristal, the mysterious and handsome handyman and Bree's (soon to be lawyer) brother must solve the case before her parents are blamed for the crime. With plenty of humor and suspense this was a very fun read. Highly recommend it!
