For three years, I've belonged to Julius King.

Some people would think being stuck on a private island is heaven, but this is my hell.

Because I'm not here as a guest. Not even close. I'm a prisoner. I'm his.

Julius King. Powerful. Wealthy. Dangerous.

There are parts of me he wants that I can't give him. When he looks at me, there are times I swear he sees someone else. And the scary part is that sometimes, when he touches me, I think he may be someone else, too.

Though my body might be tempted, and he might control everything else, I can't let him have any piece of my heart. I won't. But every day, the fight gets harder, and Julius manages to slip past my defenses in the most unexpected ways.

I have to find out the truth about Julius King. Even if it destroys me.

Sarah Mercedes has been trapped on a private island for three years by Julius King. She’s got less than one month before she’s trapped with him forever. The problem is that he’s slowly managing to slither his way into her heart. When I read the description of this book, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it, but since I’d just read a story from this author in an anthology that blew me away, I knew I had to try it. All I can say is WOW. This was a story I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I read it late into the night because I couldn’t sleep without knowing how it ended. I was so in tune with everything Sarah was going through, I didn’t want it to end but I wanted it to hurry so I knew how it ended. I can’t wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend. **I voluntarily read and reviewed this book

3 1/2 STARS!!! King's Captive was a good read. I won't lie; the story was slow and it went from past to present which wasn't a problem because the suspense within the story kept me interested. I really wanted to know what led up to everything and I was honestly surprised how everything played out because I never suspected what my unanswered questions led to. I really feel like this book could have been fantastic if the author hadn't drug things out for so long. There could have been a little more of a closer connection between Julius and baby because they did have a past. I wanted their "strong" connection before the end of the book. This is my first story from this author and I would be willing to give other books by her a try because I did enjoy the characters and the story even though it was a little slow. Who knows, my next read might just be a 5 star. If you are looking for a good suspense read, this is the one because this story if full of it.
