Great read. It was better than the 1st. The ending kinda messed me up tho: y is sterling not taking q's calls? Sterling broke "the code" between brothers so y is he mad? Cant wait 2 read the last king book & then q's story-i bet it'll b juicy!

Wow!! Loved the humor and steamy Xavier. My second favorite book by Ms. Byrd. A must read; you WILL NOT be disappointed. She does a fantastic job of incorporating "real world" talk with exciting characters. I especially enjoyed the well-educated, well-versed men and women of color.

Xavier was the perfect dream. Tall, muscular with pearly white teeth, who would not want him. Xavier was smooth. When he saw Cheryl he saw more than her outter appearance When they kissed life began anew for them both. Loved when they had to explain having a sleep over without clothes..

I've read a few of Adrianne Byrd's novels -- this was the first for me in this series--and although I enjoy her writing, none of the others have been as steamy as this one. Lord have mercy -- Cheryl and Xavier's romance burns up the pages right from the beginning! Although Xavier sounds drool-worthy, I can't speak highly enough that Ms. Byrd writes a strong heroine who brings him to his knees. Besides the hot factor, it's funny and a bit sad too...it's got a little bit of everything from beginning to end. At first, I wasnt sure if I was going to like the fact that Quentin is narrating the story from his therapy sessions, but it's such a great twist that I came to really like it. I will be catching up on Xavier's brother, Eamon's story and can't wait until Jeremy's story as well. Oh, and hopefully Quentin gets his own love story eventually...something tells me that his therapist is just the woman to handle him!

I loved this book. I could not put it down. It gave me butterfiles just reading the story. Adrianne is one of my favorite authors. I read anything with her name on it. I can't wait to read more on the King family and of course Q.
