Kiss of Judas Book Review: Justine Dasant is a woman who wants her cake and she wants to eat it too! Isaiah Johnson is a man who is seeking God but as long as he is with Justine, she won't allow it. Once Isaiah realized that he couldn't have God and Justine, and chose God instead, it only created a rage of fire within her. She was having an affair with the devil himself, but continued to try to hinder Isaiah's plans for a better life for himself. Kiss of Judas is a must read that shows how satan is constantly working to break the faith of the believer. As Christians, we know that the road can get rough but we have to continue to press forward and faint not. Renee' Allen McCoy plainly demonstrates how satan uses trickery and deceit to convince people that it is alright to be selfish, manipulative, dishonest, & destructive. However, Renee' also demonstrates how God is the author and the finisher of our faith and how even in death; He gives His believers the victory. ----Sandra Lott, RN, MSN (Author of Temporary Power Outages)

The Kiss of Judas explores a reality that most choose not to think about or are in denial. Suspense unfolds throughout the entire novel and a spirit of Judas is unveiled. It is like riding a rolelr coaster. Renee keeps her audience guessing. This novel is an eye opener that makes many twist and turns. Beware of the message found in this book, a lot of deceit and betrayal. A love story that has it ups and downs but Justine is one character that you will never forget. She is so evil until no one can figure her out. Isaiah works so hard to become a very successful CEO and is convicted of his actions and set out to make changes in his life. You need to read this book and see what happened to Isaiah and his new found love, Deborah. If you like drama and suspense, you need to read this book it is a thriller. I really enjoyed the book. It is very easy to read.

In the Acknowledgments, Renee Allen McCoy cites this bible verse: "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it," Proverbs 22:6. I love it! The main characters that you will read about in this book are Isaiah and Justine. I like the fact that the chapters go back and forth between each character's point of view. I always enjoy finding out what each of the characters is thinking! Isaiah wanted to get closer to God, but Justine just blew all of that talk off. She was afraid to settle down with Isaiah and wanted to see what else was out there before. That's why she was also seeing Tony. Hector wanted Isaiah to go out with a woman named Deborah that was really into him. Isaiah just didn't know what to do because he was with Justine, but he just needed a break from everything too. I liked Isaiah because he knew that he wanted and he made changes to his life for the better. He believed that God had bigger and better things for him, and he made a decision and stuck to it no matter what. Justine was the character that you just never knew what she would do next and believe me when I say that you will not forget her after you read this book! The Kiss of Judas by Renee Allen McCoy was a very enjoyable book that I would recommend!

What starts out as mysterious and dark soon transforms into the supernatural and the unexplained. Justine Dasant is a woman scorned. While she's perfectly fine with having her cake and eating it too, she does not wish to share her man, Isaiah Johnson. Soon the decision is no longer hers and Justine can`t help but to punish those she deems responsible for the loss of her love. `Kiss of Judas' by Renee Allen McCoy started with me fully engaged and awaiting the drama. What I didn't know was that the story would take on a `tell me' appeal, ruining the mystery and soon after become one big riddle. Crimes are committed, lies are told, friends become enemies, maternity is questioned and lives are changed with readers still pondering what happened. While I didn't love the entire book, due to many inconsistencies in characters, irrelevant characters and alternate story lines that never take the story anywhere, it is my opinion that the `Kiss Of Judas,' as the plot thickened, became less relevant and more daunting.
