The first poem sent chills racing up my arms. I related with it immediately. Neal has a way of spreading a variety of themes throughout his book. It is very much well thought out and addicting to read. I kept flipping pages until none were left. Even then, I craved for more. There were intricate words found in some poems that I had to learn. They were intriguing and caused curiosity to get the best of me. So not only did I connect with every word, but I learned some new ones along the way. The images found throughout the book were beautifully pure. I cannot wait to see the work Neal puts out in the future. One of my favorites: “she was sunkissed. wanderlust for the hemispheres. earthshine against her silhouette. stardust in her naked gaze. eclipsing all who came before. beautiful for the moment she was here- forever bittersweet in the ways i will remember.” (page 107)
