About the Author

Amy Leigh Strickland was born Amy Leigh Albro to Henry and Gail Albro, on June 8, 1986 in a hospital in Nashua, NH. She was raised for eighteen years in Townsend, MA, participating in Drama Club, Girl Scouts, Art Club, Flight Student Literary Magazine, and the National Honors Society. Amy graduated as a Gold Award Girl Scout, as President of her school's chapter of the NHS and received the Flag Award for citizenship.

After graduating High School, Amy enrolled in the Savannah College of Art and Design. Amy earned her BFA in Performing Arts. She starred in Sharon Ott's 2008 production of Oliver Twist as the title role. During this time, she also took advantage of her electives, studying writing, Shakespeare and World Mythology. It was here that she met her future husband, Kyle Strickland.

In the summer of 2008, BFA in-hand, Amy returned to Townsend, MA to plan her wedding. She began writing her first novel while working retail and doing freelance web design work. On April 24, 2010, Amy married and became Amy Leigh Strickland. Days after returning from her honeymoon, Amy packed up and moved to Alabama.

Amy's first published novel, Olympia Heights: The Pantheon, was released in July of 2011. Amy currently teaches preschool and attends the University of Montevallo, studying for her Masters in Secondary Education, English LA.
