Kissing Jenna (Love Under the Big Sky Series #5) by Kristen Proby

From New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby comes the newest installment in her beloved Big Sky Series... Jenna Hull owns and manages vacation rentals in her hometown of Cunningham Falls, Montana. She's just completed the construction of her most exhausting project, the one she's put her heart and soul into. The inviting, opulent Snow Wolf Cottages are the first ski in/ski out tree houses in the world. Her biggest dream is about to come true, and she can't let anything distract her. Christian Wolfe is Hollywood's it actor. If the magazines are to be believed, he's the sexiest man on earth. He's preparing for the biggest movie role of his life, and his agent has booked him in a hot new ski lodge in Montana, tucked away from crazy fans. He can't wait for the break. But what Christian isn't prepared for is Jenna. With a face that could easily co-star with him in a movie and her ambition to put her stamp on Cunningham Falls, he can't stay away. But even more intriguing than her beauty is the fact that she's not at all impressed with his celebrity status, only turned on by the man behind the fame. The love they've found is perfect--but time is running out before real life intrudes. Can they survive with both their dreams--and hearts--intact?

About the Author

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years. During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list. Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series. Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their adorable pug and two cats.

Kissing Jenna takes us back to Cunningham Falls but this time we don’t only catch up with the residents of the falls we get a cameo visit from a couple from The Seattle Series...... Christian Wolfe is visiting Cunningham Falls in preparation for his upcoming movie as he needs to learn to ski and the new treehouse lodges seem the perfect place for him to not only learn to ski but also relax away from the paparazzi. Jenna Hull designed and owns the treehouse lodges and as he is her only guest at the moment has time on her hands to show him around. Neither Jenna or Christian are looking for a relationship but we can’t always control when our heart decides to fall in love. I loved this couple Jenna is a independent hard working woman who has grown up with protective alpha brothers and Christian is the perfect alpha to protect her as an adult but that doesn’t mean she won’t stand up to him or her brothers when it’s needed. Christian has always done what he was told was right for his career and up til now it’s worked fine but now feelings are involved. Christian is the perfect male he is loyal, sexy, strong, kind and caring and when it comes down to the crunch he fights for what is his. The chemistry is sizzling the characters loveable and for me the icing on the cake was a visit from Luke and Natalie one of my favourite couples in the Seattle Series. Looking forward to reading more about the residents of Cunningham Falls.

Oh my! My my my! I LOVED this book! I love all of this author's books but this one was a good one! We have Christian, a movie star, who comes to Cunningham Falls to learn how to ski for a new movie role, and Jenna, a successful local developer. They meet when Christian rents one of her tree houses near the ski resort. This was a quick read because the reader becomes obsessed with the story. It's fabulous!

Kristen Proby has done it again. Christian is amazing. Yes he is a mega movie star but he is real. What he and Jenna have is real. Not Hollywood, but honest to goodness real. She is a small town girl and doesn't let his stardom affect how she treats him. To Jenna Christian is just a good looking guy who is renting one of her treehouses. Kristen Proby allows these characters to fall in love without the outside world getting involved. They appreciate the time the spend with each other. They are open and honest with each other. Jenna treats him like a regular guy. Something that he is not used to but realizes it is what is missing in his life. Hollywood, movies, and stardom is what he is used to but Jenna shows him what life is really like and how to embrace it and enjoy it.

This book was amazing. It was classic Kristen Proby, and I couldn't put it down. I loved that she had characters from the other series interacting in the story. I have loved all Kristen's books, but this has been favorite of the last 4 or 5 releases!

First I just love Kristen Proby, I have read so many of her books and this one was no exception. I loved both characters Jenna and Christian. Jenna is a strong female lead who is a no nonsense stubborn kind of gal and Christian is a Hollywood actor who comes to Montana for research for a movie role. Jenna recently constructed beautiful treehouses located near a ski resort and Christian is renting one of the chalets. I love how the two balance each other out, Christian is there is the calm to Jenna's crazy. I also want to visit Montana now, maybe just not in the middle of a blizzard. Reviewed by: Paige R.

I adore Kristen Proby’s Big Sky series. The setting is beyond charming, and its beauty comes from its quaintness, its quiet location in the mountains, and its rustic opulence. Visitors can’t help but be exchanged by their surroundings as they either stay in the small community of Cunningham Falls, Montana itself and/or vacation in one of Jenna Hull’s three spacious and breathtaking Snow Wolf Cottages, the first ski in/ski out tree houses in the world. Kissing Jenna, the second book in the series, focuses on the sassy, intelligent, and beautiful Jenna Hull - a fierce woman whose determination to succeed independently from her brothers has allowed her to reach her dreams quite quickly - and the gorgeous and well-spoken Christian Wolfe - one of Hollywood’s biggest movie stars and a man looking for a break from the hustle and hassle of his Los Angeles life in a way that allows him to feel like a normal guy even if it’s only for a few weeks. It’s easy to see from Jenna and Christian’s first interaction that there’s a strong sexual attraction between them, and that connection continues to grow the more time they spend together and the more they get to know each other. I love that Jenna treats Christian like a normal guy, giving him her sassy comebacks and not allowing him to get away with anything just because he’s famous, and it’s for those reasons that Christian feels more at ease with Jenna than he’s ever felt with anyone else, and it’s a feeling that he doesn’t want to give up, even if they come from two very different worlds and making things work between them is not only a logistical nightmare but an arduous task due to the time apart and the invasion of privacy and fictitious stories that come with dating and perhaps even loving a movie star. Jenna Hull is an amazing heroine. She gives so much of herself to those she loves, and she’s passionate about her family, her friends, and her career, and she’s not willing to give any of those things up because they’re what makes her, her and it’s that woman who Christian is enamored with…who Christian wants desperately…who Christian’s afraid to lose when their insulated bubble pops and his Hollywood life beckons him back. The secondary characters are such a great addition to the storyline and I love one couple in particular who provide both Jenna and Christian with quality advice. Jenna’s circle of girlfriends are essential to Jenna’s life; this is a group of women who lift each other up and have one another’s back, and they are definitely a lifeline for Jenna with everything that occurs between her and Christian. Kissing Jenna is a sweet and steamy read - one with very little drama but a whole lot of laughs and sexiness. Christian and Jenna are so great together, which makes the speed at which their relationship grows easy to accept and the possible heartbreak that they could incur due to Christian’s departure a worrisome outcome. 4.5 Poison Apples

Kristen Proby turns the swoon factor up to high in Kissing Jenna. The Jenna in question is the sister to Max and Brad (Charming Hannah), a tough businesswoman, loyal friend, amazing sister and complete homebody. Determined to make her dreams come true on her own terms, the amazing treetop villas are now complete and ready for rental. Just in time for movie-star Christian to have somewhere private to stay while he learns to ski for a movie role. Sparks fly between Christian and Jenna, but more than that they respect each other. Both Christian and Jenna fall hard and fast, but the thought of pursuing a long-distance relationship as well as enduring the media frenzy around Christian leads Jenna to reign in her feelings for Christian as she expects an end date to their relationship when Christian leaves the sanctuary of the treetop villas.  I loved the inclusion of all of the characters from Cunningham Falls as well as a wonderful cameo appearance from one of Kristen's other series  Although there is the underlying tension created by the difference in their lifestyles and the physical distance between their homes; there is very little angst in Kissing Jenna. When two people are so perfect for each other there is very little they can't overcome.

I’m gonna just start this review off by saying I hate snow. I hate the cold. I’m a fall and spring girl...not too hot, not too cold...I don’t even mind the rain at all (good thing since I live in Washington). Now with that said...Kristen Proby painted such a beautiful picture of Cunningham Falls, Montana in the snow and the treehouses that Jenna built, that I actually wanted to go there….in the snow. What kind of sorcery is that? But honestly, I don’t know why I was surprised. Everything Kristen writes makes me want to take off and explore the towns and cities that her characters live in, hoping that I might run into her characters (yes I know they’re not real, a girl can dream right?). Kissing Jenna is no exception. I want Jenna as a friend and a Christian to call my very own. These two were so much fun to read about...and so freaking sexy. I loved how effortlessly they fell for each other, how easy their friendship blossomed. Another thing about Kristen’s books that I absolutely adore is the beautiful friendships that the female characters have. The Big Sky women are just as close knit as the women in Kristen’s other series. I love that they welcome newcomers in with open arms, that the have regular get togethers where they drink wine and gossip about their hot men. They really do feel like real people. I love that a certain couple that longtime Kristen fans know and love make a really awesome cameo in Kissing Jenna. It makes me so happy when she ties two of her series together, even when it’s just a quick mention of a character or place from another series. It just makes me smile. I absolutely 1000000% recommend this book. Kissing Jenna can be read as a standalone, but if you haven’t read Charming Hannah or the books in the Love Under the Big Sky series, you really need to get reading.

Kristen has done it again. This book is the latest example of why I love her writing. Hot, alpha males and the gorgeous, strong women they love! Christian Wolfe is a sought after actor trying to prepare for a new role. Jenna Hull is a brilliant landowner that just opened up 3 fabulous treehouses in her hometown of Cunningham Falls. These treehouses are right on the slopes but secluded enough for Christian to remain anonymous. The instant chemistry is off the charts but I love how Kristen lets the relationship develop naturally. Hot, sexy scenes are mixed with good old fashioned romantic moments that melt your heart. If you are a fan of Kristen's With Me in Seattle series, you'll love getting to catch up with Luke and Natalie Williams. Christian is kind, loving, and sexy as hell. Jenna is strong, beautiful, and selfless. It's a beautiful story of how two people who are from different worlds find and keep a magical love!

Kiss of greatness I absolutely loved Jenna and Christian. They were a great couple to read about and there relationship was something that you rooted for. Too get a glimpse of Natalie and Luke Williams from the Seattle series was fun. This was a great story that you did no want o put down. Kristen Proby did not disappoint with the Addition to this wonderful series. Jenna is a strong independent business woman and Christian is a movie star how can you go wrong with these characters. Can’t wait for the edition in This series

This is another winning story in the Big Sky series! It’s a sweet & sexy book, full of friendship, fun and lots of love! Set in the snow swept mountains of Montana, this is Christian & Jenna’s story, two strong and passionate people from very different worlds finding love when they least expect it. Christian is a handsome Hollywood heartthrob, unhappy with the deception & lack of privacy involved in being a celebrity. Jenna is the beautifully sassy & independent owner of the lodge he rents while learning to ski. His superstar status doesn’t impress her much and he’s soon finding excuses to spend time with her, becoming more besotted & carefree as the weeks pass. Enjoying each others company, they find love in their happy little bubble far from his commitments & the prying eyes of the paparazzi. But falling in love wasn’t part of the plan & they know their time together has an expiration date. What will happen to them when the bubble bursts & they have to go back to the real world?
