About the Author

I spend my time deep in the rugged wilderness of Central Idaho and it is the natural world most influencing my writing. I am convinced, a complete paradigm overhaul concerning our relationship with the earth must occur for mankind's long-term success on this planet. However, if you are looking for a kind-hearted, tree-hugging hippy, you have come to the wrong source. I am heavily armed, mean as a scorpion, and ready for war. In other words, I am not a happy camper.

I write because I have to. Trust me, I tried to stop the maddening pursuit, even managing to walk away from the craft for nearly a decade. However, during that time, not a day went by I didn't hear that nagging, accusing voice dragging me back to the blank page.

Since my recent return, I have started three new books, which I fully expect to see the light of day within the next couple of years. In the meantime, I am also putting together collections of poetry from boxes long shelved and gathering dust.

While I am excited to forge ahead with new material, revisiting this older work has been quite rewarding. Ultimately, it is the work of a young, passionate, idealist, but in all honesty, I am just as crazy now as I was then. Somehow, I find that comforting.

Oh, and if you take offense to anything within these pages, take heart, I'm sure it was intended.
