What a well written, amazing, BDSM/ménage story! James is an Ex-Navy Seal and now President of the United States. He is married, under a tremendous amount of stress from running the country, and nothing relaxes him. His wife, Carlene, is willing to do anything to get him to relax – including, bring his ex-lover into the relationship. Kent is now head of security for POTUS. Both men are bi-sexual, but haven’t been together since James and Carlene got married. I absolutely love the set up for this relationship. Yes, they all knew that someone was going to get hurt by this. But, Carlene and Kent were willing to do anything to help James. As head of the country, James is the perfect definition of a sub and is all too happy to hand over all power to his Dom. There are so many layers and emotions throughout this story that I couldn’t help but ride the rollercoaster with each character. The dynamics of the story were amazing! How can The President, First Lady, AND Head of Security keep their relationship so quiet and private? But, it worked and worked well. The political story worked really well and helped reinforce how tough of a job POTUS has and how much stress he is under. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this story and that everyone should go read it, themselves. *I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
I am so conflicted. I loved this story but had a serious problem with the fact that it was about the President of the United States. I know that is what made it work but I would rather have had it been the President of another country. Respect for the office if nothing else. But other than that this was a well thought out, well written tale of love and submission. I love how it shows that submission doesn’t mean you are a weakling. I also love the fact that it involved older characters. All in all a good book if you can get past the fact that POTUS Complimentary copy provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
