~Reviewed by ANGELA & posted at Under the Covers Book Blog Seems like I waited a long time for this book; I have forgotten a lot about this world that I had to review the previous book. So it was a slow start for me only because it took me a while to get reacquainted with the characters. With that mishap to the side, Knight Avenged was overall fast paced, action packed and plenty romantic. I love Henrik and Cosmina. I was in awe with both their dedication to their beliefs and causes. Cosmina, the Oracle is more a warrior than an oracle. I love her aggressive warrior behavior; it was inspiring and sometimes she was hardheaded but still inspiring. She was not deterred from her duties, and I have to say, I thought she was pretty kick ass. Henrik and Cosmina were perfect for each other despite coming from the different sides of the spectrum. Their past experiences somehow connected them. It was romantic that Henrik let her be who she is yet, always on the ready to rescue her and the man is hot!!! Ah, Henrik is totally swoon worthy. The Circle of Seven’s enemy, Halal, joining forces with the Prince of Shadows was totally unexpected.  And the union was intense.  As evil as they are, I’m afraid our boys have not heard the last of Armand and the Al Pacii aka Druinguaris. I have a feeling they will come back with a vengeance. On the brighter end of things, it was wonderful to see the rest of the guys. We certainly got more scenes focusing on who they are. We saw what their powers are and that they are starting to hone them well. I’m most intrigued with Tareek, Razvan and especially Cristobal. There was a bit of setup for Cristobal and Nairobi. Cristobal is definitely fascinating with his powers and new hellhound friends. I’m curious to see where Ms. Callahan will take that part of the story. Though Ms. Callahan’s other series, Dragonfury, is, in fact, a different series and centuries apart, I cannot help to think that there is a connection between the two worlds. It was recently said that there may be a chance that the worlds will somehow collide. Ultimately, we will find out what and why the Dragonfury is cursed and possibly where they originated. Now, that information excites the heck out me. Having these two worlds in the same pages will be such a treat. *ARC provided by publisher

WOW what can I say about this book. I loved this one as much as the first. Great addition to this series, and can't wait for the next. I love all the characters in this book, Coreene Callahan does such a great job describing them and the scenes I feel like I'm there. I have enjoyed this series just as much as the dragon fury series and I love me some dragons! Awesome book it's a definate must read.

I was lucky enough to win a copy of this book from the author. Let’s talk about the hero and the heroine for a minute.  Henrik is definitely an alpha male.  He has a mission and won’t let anything get in his way.  He hates the Goddess of All Things because of his mother.  Seeing Cosmina, a worshipper of the goddess he hates, Henrik automatically lumps her in with all the rest and hates her too.  That is, until he spends some time with her and realizes she’s nothing like his mother.  Cosmina is on a mission from the goddess.  She needs to perform a ritual to keep the good and the bad forces on even footing.  She’ll do anything to complete her mission, even sacrifice her life.   I loved this book.  I sucked me in from the beginning.  I was compelled to read it in one sitting.  I couldn’t put it down.  Well, that’s just the way it is when I get my hands on one of Coreene’s books.  I’ve loved them all.  I loved the mix of romance and action.  I also loved getting to see all the characters from the first book.  My heart broke when Henrik left Cosmina to pursue the Al Pacii and Druinguari.  I’m always amazed by the names authors use.  The imagination Coreene has is wonderful, and I’m grateful she shares it with us.  The only thing I didn’t like was the time between books.  I understand it takes time to write the books and I’m not trying to complain, but I forgot I even read the first book until I picked it up to read it before this one and realized I had read it already. 5-Bombs Reviewed by Tracy

Cosmina is a Seer, one of the Blessed that serves the Goddess of All Things and Kepper of the Key to White Temple. Henrik, one of the Seven that defected from the Order of Assassins, meets Cosmina when tracking his former comrades and master, now his enemies. In spite of his aversion to White Temple and The Goddess, Henrik refuses to leave Cosmina to face the danger alone. Strong attraction soon develops between Cosmina and Henrik, bringing them to irresistible passion. I enjoyed very much their passionate romance. We get to see also some of the other Seven that escaped with Henrik and their new found powers. But it’s not just the Seven that have new and strong powers to help them fighting the Al Pacii, now Druinguari, minions to the Prince of Shadows. Knight Avenged was a very enjoyable reading, full of non-stop action, romance and friendship. I loved seeing the Seven and the three dragons acting together, as a brotherhood. All of this in a world of magic that is, simply, riveting. I highly recommend it!

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:   Oh Henrik... How do I love you?  Let me count the ways. One you are bad ass assassin.  Two you are a hot bad ass assassin.  Three you are a deadly, hot, bad ass assassin.   Do I need to keep going?   I guess not.  I loved Henrik in book one Knight Awakened and loved him even more in Knight Avenged.    Henrik does a lot of growing in this book.  He finally comes to terms with who he is, why he is and what he is.  Cosmina.  Really liked this girl.  She is tough when she needs to be.  Yet she is really a sweet girl.   And really knows how to get under Henrik’s skin :)   Another great read from Coreene.  I just love this world of the Circle of Seven warriors.  Although, I really wish Halál would get his just desserts already.  That man gets on my last nerve.  But like every good villain he knows when to tuck tail and run.  Henrik & Cosmina are great together.  I loved their bickering and the pull that they feel to each other despite the fact that they don’t want to feel it.  I loved that we got a closer look at some of the other warriors.   I want to know what makes Tareek tick, this boy has secrets.   I want to know what Kazim is and why Thea loves him so much.  So many need to knows.  But one thing for sure I am so glad that Henrik is finally in a good place.   I can’t wait to see what the next book holds for Cristobal.   Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from Coreene Callahan in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.
