I love this little reference book. I have been knitting for years and never had a reference book, this one fits in a knitting bag and is very easy to follow the directions. Would recommend for all levels of knitting, a must have

This was purchased as gifts for knitting friends. I saw others using the book and thought it would be a good purchase. After reviewing the book I think it is a must for the knitter.

If you're serious about knitting, you need to have this book. I carried it around in my knitting bag for years, using it as a reference whenever I would come across something I didn't know or remember how to do in knitting patterns. I especially used the instructions for the Kitchener stitch. 42 years of knitting and I still can't do it from memory. I love the format of this book. It's done in heavy weight cardboard so it can stand up to being carted around in a cloth bag. It has abbreviation definitions, basic knitting instructions, yarn information, gauge information, how to's, even a needle gauge and a ruler for measuring. This is a great book! The only reason I don't carry it around now is because I gave it to my daughter last year, who finally learned how to knit. (Yay!) I need to get another one. I'm hoping it will come out in Nook format soon? Please?

One of the first books I recommend to a new knitter because you will never stop using it. Wish there was a Nook version.

This book is the best knitting reference I have found. It covers the mechanics of knitting (no patterns), with clear illustrations and easy-to-follow written directions. The index in the back helps me find a topic for quick reference. I love its handy size and sturdy cover that allows it to stand on its own, tent-style. A real advantage when I am trying to follow a stitch and need my hands for the needles and yarn! If you are looking for a comprehensive yet managable reference book, look no further.

This is the best, easiest reference book on knitting...it is compact, travels well, and has all the tried and true tricks and techniques....flip book is very convenient.
