Knitting the Perfect Fit: Essential Fully Fashioned Shaping Techniques for Designer Results based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
This would be a fantastic beginner book. I was a little dissapointed in the patterns and it was basic in regards to "full fashion shaping" concept - it could have been discussed in a magazine article. I gave it 3 out of 5 because I consider myself to be more of an advanced knitter and the book did not teach me anything new. There were a few patterns I really liked, but the majority of them I wouldnt knit. Too many were raglan. I do wish I had seen this book 15 years ago.
This would be a good beginner's book, but it has plenty for the experienced knitter, too. Much of the information about using full-fashioning to create style lines is mixed in with the patterns, so it's worth reading through them, whether or not you intend to knit them. All of the sweaters have shaped armholes; no excess sagging fabric. Even the ones with set-in sleeves are within a beginner's reach. Good inspiration.
