I am a Christian and love the Word of God but this book was difficult to read. The dialogue is stilted and scripture is forced in awkwardly. There is no depth of connection between the characters. Life in Christ is so much richer than the story portrays. Two stars for the author's attempt to lead readers to Jesus Christ.

I loved this story and how it portrays people of faith. One thing I always tell people is we are not perfect just forgiven. That's the thing that comes to mind in this story of faith where even a man of the cloth has his struggles. We may say God is first but what happens when He directs us in a different direction than we think we need to go? The struggle is real but when you have friends and family who ate truly WISE counsel do you listen or turn away. Well written with characters you can and do relate to and a story that comes too close for comfort. This is a first read for me with this author and I will most definitely be back for more.

Know You More #1 Savannah Sweethearts series by Jan Thompson Pastor Diego Flores would like to spend more time with his best friend's younger sister but his calling to start Riverside Chapel in Savannah takes up most of his time. Heidi Wei is one of his strongest supporters in his ministry, does God have plans for her to be more? Heidi is aware Diego is “sweet” on her and that he thinks that because of his divine calling it prevents him from acting on it. However, every time they are together something happens between them...something personal? What plans does God have for them? Heidi and her brother, Ming, have a close relationship, but don't always agree....pretty normal for siblings. I like the way Ming looks out for Heidi and how she cares for him, his job is not the safest causing her to worry at times. Their love is evident in the way they care for each other. I love Heidi, Ming and Diego and some of the other characters. I enjoyed their interaction and how they sought each other out for support and prayer. I especially enjoyed the spiritual elements woven throughout the storyline and how the story shows that even people of faith may struggle at times with their faith. Lessons of trusting others and God, strong family and love makes this a heartwarming story. (~I also received an e-book from the author, (no monetary gain were exchanged), this is my honest review~)
