Koenig’s Wonder is an intricately interwoven tale of greed, lust, murder, intrigue and passion. The author has painted a vivid world with her words, bringing to life World War II, Oregon, Kentucky, the world of horse racing, dressage, and flying. From a stolen painting that touches the lives of three generations, to brothers separated by greed and anger, to a young couple in love separated by time and miles, to the seediest of characters who conspire to steal a winning thoroughbred and draw others into their inner circle of lies and deceit, her writing style puts the reader into the story, as if they are there, actually living it. This is such a masterfully written book, it’s nearly impossible to put down!
This was a really good book! I had a hard time putting it down. The characters are well developed, and the plot moves along at a quick pace. The author did her research!!
