Repeatedly chosen greatest strip by vote of comics professionals. Favorite comic of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, e e cummings, and William Randolph Hearst. Possibly only comic that inspired a surrealist ballet. Honored on a U. S. postage stamp! First widely syndicated strip by an African-American artist. Deceptively simple plotline: Kat loves Mouse, Mouse hates Kat, Mouse takes every opportunity to hit Kat with brick, Kat sees attacks as "love taps," Officer Pup keeps throwing Mouse in jail, repeat. Krazy speaks a unique language of Yiddish influenced pidgin English. And, not least, Kat's gender is uncertain... sometimes called He, sometimes She. Poetic, poignant, astonishing art. Fans of "Mutts" will immediately see the art/design influence of Krazy on "Mutts."

I bought this for I love comics and even make them myself, and for three dollars it's a steal, it's like finding one at a thrift store. anyway, the comic looks good on the nook and it is not to small to where you cannot read it (unless you have bad eye sight of course) there are 95 pages and the humor is, well not really that funny, at least not to someone from my time, it's an old strip from 1918, different time, different humor, but I did not buy it for the humor, I bought for the art. in short if your pondering over whether to by this or not, look up the strip on the internet. Then decide if it's something you would like on your e reader. one more thing, these are the four panel krazy kats, at least that's all I've come across thus far.
