Busy ladybug receives an invitation to a picnic and becomes even more busy, whipping up "a batch of treats for every bug at the picnic to eat." On her way to the picnic, she stops a number of times to help out family and friends. Will she make it to the picnic in time? This is a delightful story told in rhyme by twin sixteen-year-old authors, Anabella and Sofia Schofield. The hand drawn illustrations - also by the authors - are colorful and a perfect complement to the verse. The authors "hope Ladybug inspires you to look for ways to brighten the lives of those around you." I think they've accomplished that much themselves. I received this book in return for an honest review. Full blog post (12 February): https://booksdirectonline.blogspot.com/2017/02/ladybugs-garden-by-anabella-and-sofia-schofield.html
