Overview

When Lady cries rape on her mother's boyfriend, her mother throws her out of the only home she has ever known. Now Lady must find a way to survive on the cold, hard streets. After landing a dead-end job at a donut shop, Lady wonders how she will ever make it out of a six-dollar-an-hour existence. Then she meets Cream, the leader of one of the most notorious gangs in New York City. Cream quickly decides that he wants to own this beauty and recruits her for his prostitution ring. Lady joins the "Cream Team," but she has no intentions of working the streets forever. In fact, she plans to run the show and she's willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen. But the streets don't love nobody, and it's not long before Lady is deep in a game she can no longer control. The question is: Will she be able to get out of the game before the game claims her?

One hand on my body, one hand on my money/ If you don't read this book, you funny! Dang, this book was intense I want to buy the sequel before it even out! I got to recommend this book to anyone who love real life trouble in a book. This book may be fiction, but it captures the fierce tempo of real city life 2007 when the streets are down on a lady. If you like real-life superheroes in trouble and tough women that earn respect, you gotta buy this book before it sells out. i know Mark Anthony is doing his thing and I guarantee he is doing it well. I'd be suprised if any hip-hop fan didn't love this book.

I must admit this book was a good one. Unlike most books that I normally can finish in a couple of hours this book was a great read and it took me a couple of days. More than anything they were real life situations with realistic endings. The author definitely did not over dramatize things, this book is highly recommended.
