I had really high hopes for this book as I loved the first one. It started off strong and fell to pieces. Then they never really put them back together. I was disappointed in how she just let him back in her life. I have read a lot of books where the guy is dominate but caring. Trey just was domineering, controlling and mean at times. You never do get the sense that he cares. Then it ends. Wasn’t a great book in my opinion.

Lag-The Boys of RDA #2 by Megan Matthews Rated 5 Stars Simone is on vacation in the Bahamas with her mother and sister. Her mother continually picks out men for Simone to date as they walk by them on the beach. Simone has no interest in the men her mother picks out so she goes to get drinks for them from the bar. As she is leaving with their drinks she turns and runs into one hot guy and spills part of the drinks all over herself. Embarrassed for herself and sorry for him they chat briefly then she goes back to her family. The next time she sees him is outside a nightclub. She still thinks he is amazingly hot but there can be no relationship because she is from New York and it turns out Trey Good is from Sacramento. They spend the rest of the evening together until they decide to just have a vacation fling. The next two day are amazing it's too bad they live on opposite coasts. He leaves for CA and she heads back to NY. Due to a situation at work Simone is now offered a job in Sacramento. She is excited because maybe her and Trey can really start something now. Trey is less than pleased when he sees Simone for the first time. He wants to know if the only reason she is there is to sign him as a client. Things go from bad to worse when Simone is summoned home. Where did the nice guy from the island go? Should she even go back? Can Trey convince Simone he really is a good guy? I really like the storyline of this series. Gamers/nerds make good. I loved how Trey assumed Simone was his girlfriend and she had no clue! Also the whole issue with Melvin at the building of RDA completely funny! If you want a series with good solid characters and smiles, chuckles and the Boys of RDA! Can't wait for the next one!

3.5 Stars I have mixed feelings on this book because I did enjoy the story and loved Simone, but Trey is another story. I was not a huge fan of Trey. I understand where the author was going with him and all, but man he just rubbed me the wrong way. This book was from the first point of view of Simone, but I believe if we had Trey's point of view during the story I would have felt a lot different about him. His alpha side of his personality was too much on the jerky side for me. Like I said I did like Simone. Boy she went through a lot in this book. At one point I had tears in me eyes while reading. There is one part you really need to have the tissues ready for. I like the friendships she created with the girls because she really needed that to make it through the rough patches she was going through. Over all a good book, but the hero was not the strongest point in this book for me. I am looking forward to the next book in the series though because based on the heroine it's has me very intrigued.
