Once you're a star, can you trust other people's intentions?

Scott Cassidy has lived a blessed life. Growing up in Laguna Beach with a loving family, he was discovered in high school when he appeared on the popular reality TV show, Laguna Nights. Now cast as a doctor on the number one soap opera, his star keeps rising. Finally free from his long-term girlfriend, Scott isn't looking for love, but when a popular dating app matches him with Jamie Kane, he can't deny the sparks. But is she really everything she seems?

Jamie Kane isn't lucky in love or life. Her childhood was tumultuous with a single mom who moved to Hollywood for fame but ended up waiting tables in Malibu. Certainly not one of the spoiled kids she went to high school and college with, Jamie has worked hard to achieve her dreams of being an actress, even as she begins to realize it's not her calling. Jamie believes Scott may be the answer to everything unless a past mistake makes him doubt their future together.

Is the price of fame the chance at true love?

I have been fortunate enough to have read all four of the books in this series and I have loved every single one of them! This particular book is just as fun as the others. I love how smooth the story flows and how easy it is to get into the story. Once I started reading I lost track of time and of everything around me. I love the way Kaira Rouda describes everything in her stories. Even though this is book four, it can easy be read as a stand alone book. You will not be lost or not like the story if you haven’t read the other three. However I recommend that you do read the others because I know you will also enjoy them. If you are putting together your “beach reads” list, this book has got to be added! It’s a great quick and enjoyable book.

Scott's story felt a little rushed. Overall I really like the author's writing, so much so that I wished it were longer! This is part of a series of novels that surround a group of former reality TV success. I wanted to get to know Scott and Jamie way more that I did here. When I pick up a romance novel I know the main characters are going to fall in love (otherwise it wouldn't be a romance...), but it felt a little too perfect for me in the end. All the sudden things were happening and I wanted more back story.

I love this series, I always look forward to a new release. Amazing and charming characters, a wonderful, relaxing and cozy setting, really exciting plots, it is impossible not to love. All the protagonists of these episodes, when they were teenagers, had partecipated in a reality, some of them has continued their career in television or in Hollywood, others has remained in Laguna Beach, and has continued their simple life. The protagonist of this story, Scott is one of those who has had a distinguished career, is starring in a soap opera. After a very long lasting but very unsatisfying relationship, he doesn't feel the need to fall in love but he would take someone at his side with whom to share his life. He meets Jamie and she could really be the right one. But she has had a violent relationship, in which she suffered so much. She loves Scott but fear blocks her. Can she overcome and heal her wounds and believe in a happy and peaceful future with Scott? The love story is really sweet but painful, troubled, and the chemistry between them is very strong. Jamie is adorable, insecure, weak, gives off so much tenderness. Her life was really tough, she has suffered since childhood. Scott is charming, kind, the only one able to restore confidence in Jamie. It seems that his life is perfect but in reality once the lights of the set off, he is very lonely. A very romantic and realistic romance, another great pearl by Kaira Rouda. I hope to return soon to Laguna Beach Highly recommended

While I have never been a reality TV viewer, I have loved everyone of these books by Kaira Rouda. Each can be read as a standalone but I really encourage you to read them all. Part of what I loved about this book is that I saw a different side to a scene I read in one of the previous books. Scott seemed to me, as a reader of the previous books, to be the bad guy but when I read his story, I realized he is not the bad guy I was thinking he was. Scott is a really good guy. He is perfect for Jamie. If the two of them can get past the past, their love story will have a happy ending. Once again, the coast of California is the perfect setting for a love story. I want to live in some of the areas in these books - not really but I would like to visit them all. Pick up Laguna Sights. Pick up the whole series. You'll not be disappointed. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

This was a really fast read for me. I have had a lot of time on my hands and sat down and finished it in 2 hours. It was a great read and I wanted to know how Jamie and Scott ended up so I just kept reading. Jamie and Scott met after getting out of bad relationships but Jamie has a secret. She doesn't want her new found love to leave her so doesn't tell him until she has to. Scott is an actor that just got a leading role in a soap opera and was not looking to move into a relationship so fast after his last one. The way their relationship builds kept me reading and I must say I really enjoyed it. I dont want to give anything away so I wont say how it ends up for them. It went well with the rest of the series but could be read alone as well.

Laguna Sights continues the Laguna Beach series, which follows a group of prior teen reality stars in adulthood. My biggest problem with the series is that because of the first book in the series I wound up disliking so many of the other characters. So each of the later books is an uphill battle for me to enjoy the story. That being said, I really enjoyed reading about Scott and Jamie. Scott is a former reality tv star who is working on a hot soap opera and running a travel agency. Jamie is a struggling actress who has had a lifetime of heartache. When they're matched up on Tinder Jamie suddenly becomes Scott's mystery woman, even though they only had one date. Scott is worried that women are only after him for his fame, and Jamie is dealing with a bad past. Can they make a relationship work? Or will fame destroy their budding relationship before it has a chance to grow? This book can be read as a standalone novel, but I definitely recommend reading the previous books in the series! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

Scott Cassidy has gotten his break in Hollywood since his debuted on Laguna Nights. Finally free of his relationship with his long-term girlfriend Laura, Scott is not in a rush to commit to another relationship and wants to work on building his career. Fooling around on Tinder, Scott meets Jamie Kane. Jamie Kane is smitten with Scott, but her childhood, career choices, and past relationship with her ex, Jared, has her unsure of what the future holds for her. Jamie is sure her past mistakes will come back to haunt her and will impede on any future happiness she may have. This novella ties up the loose ends of the new lives of the 5 former highschool reality tv stars. This book and series tells you that you never know where life will take you, and how you were raised and grew up doesn't speak to what your life will be.

I really enjoy this series of books, a lot. This is book #4 so far, and I like that it can be read as a stand alone or as a part of the series. There isn’t a TON of back hashing to get parts of the story but there’s just enough to help you remember when you might be forgetting in parts. I will be honest & say that I wasn’t sure how much I would like this book because I wasn’t too fond of Scott in the beginning, because of how he ended things with Laura in Laguna Lights, but he ended up being a pretty good person. All in all, I liked the book, and I would reread it in a heartbeat. I received this book for free to review through Beck Valley Book Tours in exchange for my honest opinions.. All opinions are 100% my own.

Laguna Sights novel is better than I expected it to be. I had opinions formed about Scott already from reading Laguna Lights. I didn't like Scott at first because of how he ended things with Laura and joining a dating app behind her back when they were still together. In Laguna Sights, the way Laura is described made me dislike her, even though I read Laguna Lights. Together, Laura and Scott are toxic. It was good to see a the two characters in a different light. This novel certainly changed my opinion and made Scott seem like a very kind, patient, and caring person. Jamie seems like a nice person, but she lacks the ability to stand up for herself for the majority of the book. Considering her past, it makes sense. I was proud of her when she worked up the nerve or courage to stand up for herself. The book reminded me of a short story. There wasn't a lot that went in if read as a stand alone. It did bring closure to Scott's story and answered some questions brought on in Laguna Lights. I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I’ve been reading all the Laguna series and love them all. This one is just as the others….awesome. You can read this as a standalone but since they are all so great, you’ll want to read them all. When I read a book there are certain things I like in it; love, laughter, a little bit of aggravation, tears, and surprise. This book had it all. The story was about the main character, Scott Cassidy who was an actor since his high school days in the reality TV show Laguna Nights. Now he was a doctor on a daytime soap opera. He accepted a date from a dating app which matched him up to a totally opposite person Jamie Kane. Since he was free from his long time girl-friend he wasn’t looking for a relationship but his date with Jamie changed that when sparks fly. Jamie was from a very poor family and not very lucky in love. She tried hard to be an actress but wasn’t succeeding. Maybe Scott was the answer to her dreams? But then do dreams really come true? This was given to be for an honest review and I highly recommend this one and all the Laguna series.

Laguna Sights by Kaira Rouda is the fourth book in her Laguna Beach series. This was a fun stand alone read which did not require reading the previous 3 books to follow. Scott Cassidy gets his long overdue closure from his previous long term girlfriend and the relief is clear as he comes to accept how toxic their relationship was for him. He has a fresh start and a dream job, playing a doctor on a long running soap opera in LA. Scott met Jamie Kane through a dating app. Jamie is the opposite of Scott. Forced to move by her mother who wanted fame, she is not privileged. She always felt out of place with the spoiled kids she grew up with and doesn’t know if her dream of becoming an actress is what she really wants. She no longer talks with her mom because of everything she put her through and is living with her best friend. The only time she sees her mother is when her mother needs money, but she hasn’t had the courage to stand up to her and refuse her yet. Scott and Jamie had a fun first date, but life gets in the way and he doesn’t call her back. When she didn't hear from him she began to worry he was no longer interested. She is ready for a new relationship after getting out of a relationship with her abusive ex. However, there’s a secret from that experience which she hasn't told anyone. She decides to call Scott and again they have a great time together. In addition, Scott really needs her help with his other job, running the family travel agency, and Jamie needs the fresh start he can offer. I really liked that both characters had to previously deal with a verbally abusive ex. It’s incredible how much damage verbal abuse does to a person, man or woman. Jamie's secret is kept from the readers so while we get a chance to like her from listening to her thoughts, even we don't know the details until the end of the story. It was inspiring to see the characters realize these faults and forgive themselves for their bad decisions and choosing to make healthier ones as they move forward. This was a fun and entertaining romance with likeable characters that you want to root for and don't feel bogged down pitying. The feel was very hopeful throughout the book and I really enjoyed reading it. I highly recommend this but felt it was a little rushed at the end.

A Fun Frothy Read. This is my second Rouda novel after Laguna Lights and I enjoyed it as much as that one. Laguna Sights is a light, frothy, glamorous romance ideal for flicking through with a glass of fizz and some chocolate (or a cuppa and some digestives!). Scott and Jamie's romance is sweet without being saccharine against a backdrop of blue skies and seas. I was intrigued to discover (without giving too much away) that the author seemed to be as irked by one of her previous characters as I was and Jamie is a much nicer character than Laura, even if the reader is shouting for her to stand up for herself much sooner than she actually does. There's blackmail, mean girls and a 'will they, won't they' element in a story which wouldn't seem out of place in the pages of Hello! magazine. Highly recommended. I received this book free in return for an honest review.

This series keeps getting better and better!! This time around, we're focused on Scott and Jamie. They come from opposite ends of the world in regards to their upbringing yet, they are almost identical in what they long for: love and happiness! Don't we all?! Their pasts have been the reason they are where they are in life and both wish to change it but as fate would have it, their pasts haunt them and slow growth in their personal lives. These two end up meeting one another thanks to a dating app and have a ton of fun together. It's refreshing to see how both characters use their past to strengthen themselves but it also happens to be the biggest fault for both. This pair hits it off and ends up working together - so much of a better dynamic than their previous relationships! As fate would have it, when things start feeling safe and good, the past comes back to haunt Scott and Jamie - can they survive it? I've always been a firm believer that if things are meant to be, they'll find a way - no matter what the circumstances are for the time being! Laguna Sights is the perfect title for this book because it's important to keep your eyes open! You often SEE more than you HEAR!! Fantastic read for any kind of day and it's a great standalone but once you read it, you'll want to check out the first three! I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. This is a novel about two people meeting via a dating app. He is a successful actor, while she is a woman not sure what she wants to do in life. When the novel begins, she's living for free at her best friend, Amanda's house. Amanda comes from a very wealthy family, where Jamie did not. In fact, Jamie's mom doesn't even acknowledge her unless she needs money. Jamie's mom was an aspiring actress who moved her daughter to Malibu to pursue acting, but never made it. Jamie wants nothing to do with her mom, but doesn't stand up to her, allowing her mom to bully her. Scott is a successful actor, Dr. Drake, who finds Jamie refreshing, kind, and everything his ex is not! His last relationship ended badly and he didn't want a "rebound" relationship. Then he's "matched up" with Jamie on the app. Scott is also the co-owner of a travel agency with his parents. Scott finds it hard to balance being an actor and the travel agency. Then his office worker at the travel agency quits. In steps Jamie... This novel has a few twists in the end, but was an easy, enjoyable read. It is a stand alone novel, but I do feel like I missed a bit of the back story from previous novels. I also thought it a bit "rushed" in the end when Scott takes Jamie to meet his parents and they offer her ___. I don't want to spoil it, but it seemed unbelievable as they had just met her. Otherwise, a very good novel.

Laguna Sights by Kaira Rouda...This was such a fun quick sweet love story with lots of drama. We get a glimpse of how the rich and elite live. The characters a very enjoyable and you are pulling for Scott and Jamie, they have so much chemistry and perfect together. This was my first book by Kaira Rouda and I can't wait to read the next. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is book 4 in the Laguna Beach collection. I’ve read the first two in the series, but not the third (Laguna Lights), as it focuses on Laura, and Kaira managed to make me really dislike her. Laguna Sights is good, but not as good as Laguna Nights & Laguna Heights. The conflict was never as significant as it seemed it should be, and that was due to the nature of the conflict, not because this particular conflict should have been taken more seriously. To me, it seemed manufactured simply because the protagonists needed to overcome some sort of difficulty. I’m happy to have read other books by Kaira because this was not her best and I would hate for it to be my first impression. If you have read some of the other books and just really want to have closure with some of the characters, this book could be for you. If you’re looking for an introduction to Kaira Rouda, I would suggest Laguna Nights and/or Laguna Heights. My biggest complaint about this series is that all of the names sound so familiar; I find it hard to recall which is which. I had to repeatedly look back at the descriptions to make sure I was reviewing the right one! I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is book 4 in the Laguna Beach series. I’ve read all the books so far and I love them. They are a great quick read to relax and unwind. In this book we learn more about Scott. So far Scott has been portrayed as the bad guy in his on again off again relationship with his ex girlfriend Laura. Things aren’t always as they seem. Scott starts to date a new woman he met on a dating app Jamie. Jamie has a best friend that comes from money. Jamie has had a less than ideal childhood with a less than desirable mother. Jamie is happy with Scott and sees a future with him. We all have things in our past we wish would stay there. Jamie is no different. One of Jamie’s ex’s comes back around threatening to destroy everything good she has worked towards in her life. This book like the rest of the series is easy to read and the story just flows. I get lost in the books and lose all track of time when reading them. I can’t wait for more in the series. I received this book for free in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions in this review are 100% my own.

Scott and Jamie met through a dating app. He was at the end of a ten year relationship, and she was trying to put an abusive one behind her. As they grew closer, Jamie’s past catches up with her and causes strife between them. Can the perfect relationship that she has found with Scott overcome him finding out the truth about her past? Or has she lost him forever? Poor Jamie was so insecure. I can understand how the past can dictate your future. But as this story shows, being with the right person can change you in more ways than you can imagine. There was more than love in bloom going on, letting all aspects of her life click into place. When you have Karma on your side, you have nothing to worry about!

This was an excellent read and even though it's the third in a series I easily kept up without having read the prior two books. I will however be going back and reading those! This has clear concise writing, a great pace, and characters that make the story very memorable. Scott Cassidy seems to have the dream life. Great family and a career that seemed to fall into his lap after starring in a reality show in high school. The one thing he longs for though is "normal". A normal happy behind the cameras relationship but since that seems impossible he's giving up on dating for now. That is until he's matched with the very alluring Jamie Kane. Jamie grew up watching her mother long for the fame and fortune Hollywood is known for only to end up waiting tables. Even with those vivid memories she decides to try her hand at an acting career. It's not long before she realizes it may not be for her. That is until Scott.... Definitely a book I recommend.

Behind the bright lights are real people with the same feelings and problems that plague us all. The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Jamie has not had an easy upbringing. With a mom who had big dreams but struggled to make them a reality, Jamie knows that stardom and riches don't happen for everyone. Still she decides to try her luck anyway. Scott has worked hard for his career. His star took off at a young age and he's manage to parlay that into a successful acting career. That being said he longs for a life beyond the cameras. Someone to see past the glitz and accept the man behind the mask. Scott and Jamie are destined to collide but what will happen when they do? I received a copy of Laguna Sights by Kaira Rouda in exchange for an honest review. The one consistent theme thoughout the Laguna Beach series has been making a life the search for an identity beyond the cameras. Some have succeeded in finding happiness but in order to do so they had to learn to trust their hearts and become open to the possibilities. Kaira Rouda foray into Hollywood is gritty, sexy and tumultuous but each story stands on its own merit. That's what matters most to me.
