This is a series I'm falling in love with and I really can't get enough of the McAdams Sisters, I love that it's a series about adults who are working through life's trails and tribulations. Peyton and Colt's story is packed with humour from the moment the sisters walk in on their father doing the unspeakable with the neighbor who happens to be Colt's mother. This book had me laughing out loud and I mean snorting out loud but I have to say it's also a love story with some amazing characters. Lakeshore Legend is book 2 in the McAdams Sisters and it's also part of The By the Lake Series but please don't be put off if you haven't read the other books because this can be read as a standalone, if you are looking for a romance with some hilarious moments then this is a must read. Shannon Leah is fast becoming one of my go to authors because I love her characters and I love that her books have humour and HEA's. Another great read

Peyton McAdams lived next to Colt Patterson all of her life until he went off to become a professional hockey player and is now a hometown hero. Peyton lived in the city until her grandmother died and left the family a rundown building on Main Street, so she returned home and she and her sisters decided to turn the building into a natural soap shop. When Colt had come home for a visit in the Fall, he and Peyton had a hot, steamy fling in her shower and then Colt left and never called her again. Then there were pictures of him and a blonde woman all over his social media and Peyton figured she was just another notch on his belt. Fast forward two months and Peyton and her sisters are about a month away from opening their shop. Colt comes back into town for Family Days and they run into one another. Colt has been in trouble in the past two years - an accident caused him to injure his knee and end his hockey career and now he is facing assault charges. His reputation is in need of repair. He wants to be friends with Peyton because Peyton's father and Colt's mother (He is a widower and she is divorced) have developed feelings for each other. Can they be friends or is the chemistry that is between them going to be too much? Can Peyton help Colt overcome his demons and can Colt help Peytom overcome her fears? I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Sweetly sexy, emotionally engaging romantic journey for two people afraid of love and just now realizing (after a life time of knowing each other) they just might be perfect together. Peyton McAdams is a head strong, determined and sassy new store owner looking to make her way in the world on her own (less chance of getting hurt that way) Colt Patterson is a sexy, charming and wounded ex-hockey star back home after a accident took his knee out and a bar fight left him with assault charges to face. He is also the boy who grew up next door to Peyton and her sisters and is also no stranger to loss... Highly entertaining and thrilling adventure, I look forward to more visits to Willow Valley.

"I'm afraid I love you Colt. I'm afraid of you not loving me back" Colt Patterson's heart was crushed by life......Peyton McAdams didn't believe in love.... Could a childhood crush turn into something bigger or can it only draw 2 people apart....... People are not always who we think they are; we judge others by their actions not understanding what's hidden behind. This book made me laugh, fall in love and cry all at once. Colt literally gave me chills ! Couldn't put the book down till the end !

Lakeshore Legend is Book 2 in the McAdams Sisters Series. It can be a stand alone but I hightly recommend you read the stories in order as you'll get a deeper appreciation for them. I absolutely love Sassy Peyton McAdams. I think she hides behind her sass and Colt is the only one besides her family that sees through it. Colt has been dealt some devastating blows not only in his marriage but in his career. He has to overcome his past/present to plan for his future. Can he convince Peyton that she is a part of that future? These two together are explosive. There are several laugh out loud moments in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Peyton McAdams and her four sisters are weeks away from celebrating the grand opening of their new business in Willow Valley, The Old Town Soap Company. After totally renovating the old storefront property they inherited from their recently deceased grandmother, Peyton has worked tirelessly to make sure the shop will be a huge success. But a sudden revelation about her father's personal life has huge consequences that will affect both her personal life and the business she desperately wants to succeed. I really enjoyed getting to know this close knit family of sisters who support each other unconditionally while they also drive each other a little crazy because that's what family dynamics are all about. Expect a quaint small town atmosphere lots of amusing comedic situations and a simmering romance between Peyton and a sexy former professional hockey player that is sure to rock her world in the very best way. This series is my new favorite guilty pleasure. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.
