Wonderful book! A good read with a wealth of good tips that you can start implementing right away. Very useful for everyone who needs help organizing the household affairs of a family. I am sure it will come in handy too when our girls are old enough to not just help in the home, but reflect on household management too. I also appreciate how the author leans on Scripture to support her approach.

Although the title suggests it's geared toward large families, I am VERY glad I read this resourceful book! We are a family of 4, and as a stay at home mom who continually struggles with "managing house", I found this book to give realistic, helpful tips on managing schedules and routines ALL families could matter what size they are. Kim Brenneman does a beautiful job intertwining keeping home and love of family. Truly, a great read!

I found this book at my son and daughter-in-law's house and began looking though it. I immediately went home and ordered copies for several of my children and one for myself. I am a recent "empty nester," but I have found this book to be helpful to me! Kim lays out ideas for keeping up with life on a daily basis so it does not become overwhelming to maintain a house and care for children, very encouraging and easy to follow. Kim is very clear in laying out ways to order one's days so necessary tasks can be accomplished in efficient, time-saving, practical ways. It is interesting that she goes back to a method that has worked for generations: have a designated day for various repeating jobs. Remember when Monday was washday; Tuesday, ironing, mending, and then there was baking day, cleaning day, rest day (ah--who does that anymore), etc.? I had to adapt the days to my non-children lifestyle: office day, de clutter day, make cards and package gifts for children/grandchildren day, etc.! This book is written in a very user friendly way. I highly recommend it!
