About the Author

Nancy Stopper is an award-winning debut author. She writes contemporary romance with strong women and sexy heroes that tug at your emotional heartstrings and leave you with a warm feeling that lingers long after the last page. Her favorite escape is small-town romance and even when set in a larger location, her books have that small-town feel.

Her first novel, One Last Risk, won first place in the Short Contemporary Romance category of the Fool for Love Contest and was a Maggie Finalist in the unpublished Single-Title Contemporary Category.

Dreams Come True in Laguna, Nancy's first novella, was published in the Laguna Beach Kindle World in 2016. Her first full-length contemporary romance novel will be published in 2017.

Nancy lives in Virginia with her husband, two of her three kids that are still at home, and one cat who regards her with disdain daily. When she's not behind her laptop, you can find her at a ball field, cheering on her favorite team (Washington Nationals) or her favorite player (her son, who pitches for his local high school), or at a dance performance with her daughter.

Terrific What a great beginning to the series. Butch comes home after a leave of absence as a ER doctor, to find his old motorcycle bar changed. His meets one of the waitresses, Carla, and they hit it off. Both are scared by different reasons but can they make a relationship.

I love the Oak Grove series. Somehow I had read the other books but missed this one and found it on Amazon. Carla had grown up in a not-so-happy place. Butch had his own demons. With a chance meeting on a snowy night proves that everyone deserves their happy ever after. Short story that introduces you so some of the characters in the next stories. Awesome!

I have read several of the other books in this series and really enjoyed them. This book I was a little disappointed in because I felt I was only reading about their sex life. There wasn’t a lot of storyline in it and yet there could have been. The story was about Carla and how she had a horrible early years and felt people and men always left her The Butch had his own demons that he was trying to run away from. When the two met sparks were felt and the first night they are in bed already. The story tells a little about the two of them and working out their demons and trying to establish a relationship. I will continue to read the books in their series and hope that there will be more of a story and not just a sex guide.

A very good beginning for a book series. Butch and Carla 's story give a glimpse in Bennett family and friends life. The two of them facing their own demons, but finally helps each other to find love.

Last call is a great novella. I loved learning about Carla and Butch. This love story grabbed my attention right from the start. Can Butch convince Carla that after coming to terms with the demons that sent him away from Oak Grove he's now here to stay? I can't wait to read the next book in the Oak Grove Series.

This is a sweet novella and a prequel for the author Oak Grove series. I liked the style and the characters who are very real and so engaging. They are people like us. Butch and Carla have both problems in their life but their connection is so strong that they can heal each other. It is a very good beginning and I plan to follow the series.
