About the Author

I am married to the love of my life and have been married to him for twenty years. When I met my husband it was love at first sight so I am still a believer in love. We even got married three months after we meet. I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful boys who keep me on my toes.
As a stay at home mom, I became an avid reader who loves and reads most genres. The love of these books spiked my interest to learn more about the book world and the process it took to become an author. Learning as much as I can about the wonderful world of writing, I had to write my story. I’ve had this story building in my head for over a year and I just needed to share it with everyone. Educating myself in this industry has made me work hard to obtain my goals of writing and becoming an author. The learning process has also made me appreciate, what all these authors have accomplished and all the hard work they put in. I can’t wait to share my story with you!!! My novel is a Clean New Adult/Young Adult Romance. Hope you enjoy my unique story about love.
Why did I write a clean romance novel? I wanted to share my story with everyone and focus more on the storyline. As a mother, I needed to know what my children would be proud of and not be afraid to let them read and be apart of my journey as an author. Now I am proud that I can share my stories with anyone at any age group. Adults and teenagers alike can read my story and I am proud to have kept it clean for everyone to read.

*Reviewed for HookedonBooksForever* 5 STARS!!! Awww... Ok now that I got that out. Wow... The Last Heartbeat by TR Lykins is the most romantic, heartbreaking,  and inspiring novels I have read in a very long time. Alexia is a 20 year old college freshman. She's starting school so late because 5 years ago she was on her last heartbeat,  in desperate need of a heart transplant, literally taking her last breath before being  rushed into surgery for a donor heart. She now is living every day to its fullest. On her flight to college, her dream college on the beach, she meets a handsome stranger, Phillip. Phillip is  a 22 year old college student recovering from the tragic death of his older brother at the hands of a drunk driver. Phillip and Alexia both are transplant patients, Alexia has a donor heart, Phillip has his brother's liver, donated after he died. Phillip and Alexia have an inexplicable connection,  from the moment they meet. Can they're chance meeting maybe bring these two living on borrowed time to experience true love? This story had me in tears, made me laugh, made me fall in love, and made me want to live each day to the fullest. My only complaint was reading from Phillip's perspective always felt like going back in time and it felt rushed, like just a summary of what you already read from Alexia's side. However, despite that, this is a wonderfully beautiful love story that will touch your heart and stay with you long after you've turned the last page.

Wow!!! I loved this story. From the beginning to the end it will keep you entertained. The characters both have had tragedy in the past and they have to overcome the past to finally coming together. It reminds me that love at first sight can happen and the storyline is unique. There isn't many stories about this subject manor out there. It is fresh and new kind of story that will have you cheering for these characters until the end. Even the ending has another twist you will not see coming. Loved this Debut Novel!!!!! Hope everyone else does too.

This story captured my attention from the very beginning . I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The author tells the story from Alexia & Phillips point of few. Really makes you feel the emotions from both. I would recommend to anyone who likes to read great romance novels. Looking forward to reading many more stories from this author.

I was gifted this book from the author for an honest review. I gave this book 3 stars.  Alexia has fought hard to over come a tragic illness in her past. Barely getting on with her life, she finally leaves home to enter the real world. This first big step makes her appreciate all that she has struggled with. This next step in her life, also leads her to a possible heartbreak. How can Alexia keep up with all of her struggles and keep going on? Phillip has lost someone close to him when he was younger. This person was the most important person in his life. He has struggled to get past this loss, and once he does, he finds out something about his favorite person that makes him feel the hurt all over again. Why can’t Phillip move on for good? Can he really forgive someone in the past, if they no longer live? A chance meeting has Alexia and Phillip spending hours talking. This sparks an attraction for each other. Every day, running into each other makes the attraction grow stronger until they finally give in to it. When another accident strikes, both of their pasts come barreling back to haunt them. Can they move forward knowing the secrets they now know about one another? How much more can two broken people endure? Will they find their way back into one another's arms or have they finally come to a breaking point in life? ok my take.. This story was a very good story. I loved the idea of the story and tried so hard to keep reading.  But,  I felt like the Author was writing to a pre-teen. I felt 12. The story didn't flow for me like it should have it felt forced. But as I stated this was a wonderful story and I loved reading about these two, it was sweet and wonderfully amazing the things that brought these two together. That is why I gave it 3 stars.

Audible Review:  Last Heartbeat on audio is fun and interesting as the Narrator changes her voice to suit the character she's reading to you.  Story Review: Last Heartbeat is an emotional tilt a whirl sweet romance.  I was immediately attached to both Alexia and Phillip and felt a kinship to them.  Both of their histories remind me of someone I love.  It was an instant freeze for me. Either I'm going to love this story or hate it.  Well, I absolutely loved it.  Their stories and health issues were written with great care and tenderness.  With the the ups and downs of the  relationship my emotions went right with Alexia's.  At times I wanted to knock some sense into Phillip.   He had my heart though and Alexia's as well.  This story is a perfect story of love conquering all.
