This book was definitely one that you won't want to put down. I have read all the Soldier of Fortune Series books and this one captivated me as much as Desperado. My only regret is that it isn't as long, but definitely a true Diana Palmer novel that is rare in it's quality and detail of each particular character! If you've not read the series, I recommend you start with the Soldier of Fortune books: Soldier of Fortune, The Tender Stranger, Enamored, The Winter Soldier, Mercenary's Woman, then read The Last Mercenary. The characters will all fall into place for you that way, and each book will be enjoyed from beginning to end!

thrilling romance. once micah and callie had a relationship of sorts, but it didn't work out. now callie has been kidnapped by a drug lord and taken to mexico. mich goes to the rescue reluctantly. as he brings her back to home, he discovers she's more than his friends sister. diana palmer has a way with these stories. they keep you on the edge of your seat and make them hard to put aside for any reason. love her stories!!! i'm sure you will too.

Are you sure Diana Palmer wrote this? It is the most ridiculous story I have ever read. Micah is cruel and certainly no hero. Callie is stupid. The other characters are so unreal. Not a good premise for a story line either. Come on Diana, you are much better than this.

I have a top 5 by this author and this rates number 2, barely behind Lawless. (Rounded off by Nelsons Brand, Lionhearted and Paper Roses. I have a top 5 in authors to, and Diana Palmer remains number one, even her books that fall short are better than anyone elses Ive spent money on

This is a typical Diana Palmer love story with lots of angst, a larger than life hero and meek heroine, lots of sexual tension and the evil former girlfriend, but this story has a little more substance than some of her others and is a good read. I recommend adding it to your reading list.
