Overview

"For a while I thought maybe I was supposed to help all the lost souls wandering the halls of The Paradise," Noah said, with self-deprecating humor...
"They've all told me how much you've counseled them," Callie said. "There's a reason everyone thinks you're an angel."
"Yes, but now I realize it wasn't just about them." His gaze centered on her. "I think maybe I was supposed to wait for something else. For someone else."

When Callie Dalton's charismatic, televangelist husband falls into disgrace, Callie goes down with him. Now he's dead, leaving Callie to face the wrath of the public alone. With nowhere else to go, she takes her two young children and escapes to a place she's spent most of her life trying to forget.

Shellwater Key holds memories of sweet childhood friendships...and the tragic death of her mother. Most everyone is horrified when Callie moves back in to the same house where her mother died, but after the scandal her options are limited. Except that same house now comes with a bonus...a handsome "pool boy" with changeable eyes, a killer smile, and shoulders wide enough to carry every one of her burdens.

Noah Johnson isn't actually a pool boy. He's the carpenter and resident "angel" at The Paradise Dinner Theatre, now owned by her friend, Layla McCarthy. After a disastrous and humiliating job hunt, Noah helps engineer a position as House Manager at the theatre. A chance to start over is an answer to prayer, but every instinct warns that proximity to the sexy and enigmatic Noah could be the most dangerous complication to Callie's life...and her wary heart. But when she learns the truth about Noah's story and his former occupation, she's ready to run again. It will take a willingness to face her tragic past and embrace the possibilities of tomorrow for Callie to find the love that will finally set her free.

This is the last book in the series and was worth the wait. I have enjoyed getting to know the characters in this series, and it was nice to see how friends can reconnect back up after years of not seeing each other. What also made it special, was the way they helped each other out. Like the other books, it can be read by itself; however i recommend that you read all of them since they are so enjoyable. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is a probably my favorite book in this series. It has a sweet plot with lots of twists and turns. This is a feel good romance. It has complex characters who show both raw and real emotions. This endearing story pulled me in quickly and held me until the end. For me this was a one setting read. I literally couldn't put it down until the end.

What happens when you bring together two people with opposite tastes like mixing champagne and beer? You have a sweet romance where opposites attract and the chemistry sparkles. Melinda owns a wine bar and Sean owns a construction company. They each have the wrong assumption about each other and it is how their perception changes that makes for a fun quick romantic read. The novella was well written, held my interest and the characters were engaging. I really like the story and if you are looking for a sweet romantic quick read this is the novella for you. I highly recommend it. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

STORY-LINE LAST STOP AT PARADISE BY KRISTIN WALLACE: Last Stop At Paradise, Book 3 of the Shellwater Key Series, has a wealth of emotions and a intense story-line relevant to today. The backdrop in this book could appear in today's news head lines. Callie Dalton's life imploded when her famous televangelist husband embezzled funds from his huge ministry and commits fraudulent acts. Left in disgrace after he dies from a heart attack, Callie and her 2 children's last resort's her childhood home in Shellwater Key, which hold nightmares of its own. Meeting Noah Johnson, who she mistakes as her pool boy, goes from bad to worse as the only place to employer Callie also has Noah on staff. Noah's seen by the town as an angel in disguise; kind, helpful, easy-going, and handsome as sin. But Noah has secrets he has long harbored which could change everything. The Paradise Dinner Theater, owned by Layla McCarthy, her friend from childhood is a lifesaver. Callie's given a chance to start life anew, as well as, finding a possible romance interest in the town's resident handyman slash angel. Can Callie let go of the past and accept Noah and his former occupation? Or will Callie's insecurities keep her hiding because of past traumas? Can Noah face his own demons and grab the chance of a new life? My reviews for romance novel, Last Stop At Paradise, follows. CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT: Last Stop At Paradise is an intense character driven novel. Filled with emotion, Wallace grabs the reader immediately. I could feel Callie's desperation as she tries to overcome her husband's duplicity. Wallace uses Callie, hated and reviled, to demonstrate the lessons of letting go, grabbing life, and going for the gusto. As well as, showing we are all human and face temptations, and sometimes succumb to those temptation; no one is exempt to human fragility. Learning to believe in yourself again is a valuable lesson Callie learns as she fights to create a new life for her and her children. Noah's fighting his own demons; yet, he knows God has something in store for him when he settles in Saltwater Key. Wallace builds the romance slowly as Noah and Callie battle their own insecurities and demons. I was rooting for Noah from the begin of the story. He's every woman's dream man. I loved the secondary characters in the novel as we find all our old friends back together again. Saltwater Key's a typical small town filled with many diverse characters which Wallace used and developed to their fullest. Some of them you will love and others you will love to hate. The pace of the book was smooth and steady with plotting which holds the readers attention. The writing's clear and clean with sweet romance; even a touch of mystery. These novels get become better and better as each story's told. I look forward to the next book in this series. LAST STOP AT PARADISE RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4 I would not hesitate to buy this intense romance novel for my self or a friend. Last Stop At Paradise is a wonderful addition to the Shellwater Key series. If you have not read this series, I recommend you do so. FINALLY, PLEASE NOTE: In addition, I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book/novel. I voluntarily chose to review this romance novel with honest reviews for romance novel, Last Stop At Paradise.

A delightful small town story. After the shock of discovering her husband's deceit and theft in the full glare of publicity, the investigation of herself, the loss of all assets and then the death of her husband; Callie is at rock bottom and unsure how she she can make a new life for herself and her two young children. With nowhere else to go, Callie returns to her hometown and the ghosts of her childhood home. It is a relief that some of the inhabitants of the town who knew her as a child are prepared to give her a second chance and she is delighted to reconnect with her friends Layla and Emma who she hasn't seen since the age of ten. Noah the Paradise's handyman is another matter all together, always popping up to rescue her and probing the sore spots in her life. She's not ready for a new relationship, regardless of what her friends think..... or, is she? An uplifting read about two people who have undergone personal trials and tribulations. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.
