I like all the The Last Vampire books and this one is by far the best one. Cristopher Pike is a great author. If you enjoy a entertaining exciting book you should read this book.

I really enjoyed this series. It has all the supernatural things you can think of...except for lycans (werewolves). It's not quite a love story like Twilight so if you're looking for another "Edward" to love - there isn't one here. The main character is a blond haired blue eyed vampire from India. Her mission is usually to save humanity. She goes on her own spiritual journey and has lived 5000 years so her historical stories keep it really interesting.

People usually consider this a good childhood book or something they look back on as a sort of cute thing they read when they didn't know any better. I thought the same thing until I reread it a couple months ago. I never guessed I would enjoy it just as much as I did when I first read it.Sure, the story might not be high literature, but it's extremely well-crafted. Sita's voice is so strong and perfect that it just blew me away, and the pacing is superb. Maybe if more vampire stories were written like this one, the genre would be taken more seriously.

This book wasnt at all whet I thought it would be. It's about vampires but with all the info packed in it feels like it could have been a main story mixed in with a back drop story. While it was a good read it gave me information overload. I found myself drifting and having to take a break and come back to it later.

I read this series when I was in high school. I suffered a brain injury and am now in my mid thirties and reading is awful for me, but I would be totally willing to read these books again (and that is saying allot) (another author this paved the way for me loving is Jeaniene Frost's 'One foot in the Grave' and the rest of the 'Night huntress' books, not quite the traditional Dracula stories...)

Christopher Pike's books bring to life a new type of vampire that challenges the old notions of what a vampire really is (Dracula!). Forget the ideas that a vampire dies with the sun or cross or that he's afraid of garlic; once you finish the series, you'll know what a real vampire would be like. Pike brings you, through a combination of history, science, and religion, a truly thrilling story of a vampire name Sita who has lived for 5000 years and who is know struggling to stay alive after she is discovered, tracked down, and attacked. So grab a chair, grab the book, sit down and enjoy!

It's a thrilling tale of a 5,000 year-old Vampire who falls for a teenage boy, who favors her husband. She has to stop the one who made her into a Vampire and save the boy from him.

I would recommend this book to an indivisual not over the age of eleven. The writing was poor and undescriptive, and the word 'paradox' was repeated so many times it made me want to hurl. However, I enjoyed this book with its interesting [but predictable] plots and trials which the protagonist partook. Its shredded inquiry of Hindu mythology led me to the epics the Ramayana and Mahabharata, which I found quite interesting and was thankful I read this series and discovered them. In the end, it was a decent book, but would have been better if only the author had made it more detailed.

I think that this book was one of the best books that I've ever read in my life cause it's such an intresting book. It never leaves you hangin. I cant read a book and have it not be intresting, cause I just end up sleeping. This book wont let you down, its full of blood, death, sex, explosions, and fire, heh yeah all stuff that I enjoy very much. But if you want a good book to read then I definitly recomened reading this book.
