One angel to bind you, one angel to save you.

Sky Heavensent, an angel of death, is charged with the collection of souls of the recently departed. Known to his peers and immediate supervisor, the archangel Gabriel, as the liability, Sky puts his heart and soul into everything he does.

When he meets Caleb Pierce, Sky is immediately smitten. The problem is Caleb is the soul he came to earth to harvest, and saving him means breaking one of the most sacred angelic directives.

Already in too deep, Sky pushes aside the consequences and follows his heart. Danger and mayhem follow, but he will do everything in his power to protect his lavender-eyed man.

Intriguing paranormal romance I'm not sure if paranormal is quite the right word, more like fallen angel romance. It's definitely an interesting read, and the connection between Sky and Caleb is there, and definitely has a high heat factor. Human and angel, a dramatic romance, and adding in Joan as Caleb's sister, puts a spin on the story. I like that it's only one POV, and that is from Sky. His fall to earth, and what his job entails, even though he was off course, as an Angel of death. It's full of dramatic, and eroticism but has a great plot that gives the story depth.

Personal Review, I was asked to read this book by the author, that I write a review was not required. Sky meets Caleb when he falls too fast and can't stop in time. And falls for Caleb. Problem is, Caleb is the soul Sky has been sent to collect. Sky can't carry out his job so another angel is sent. But Sky keeps saving Caleb, and the other angel keeps coming. Can they figure out why Caleb has been targeted? I'm not one for instant professions of love, and it happens here, right in chapter one when Sky falls in love with Caleb. Now, it does kind of explain that away, since Sky falls in love often, but not to the depth of emotion he feels with Caleb. Still, its and instalove thing. Also, first person, present tense AND single point of view is not for me, because know what I'm gonna say, and blah blah blah, hearing from everyone! BUT!!!! It's a nice book, a well written one by a new to me author. It does move at speed in places, and it gets a little . . . painful reading about what Samael does to Sky and his wings. Made me cry a little there! The heat level creeps up through the book. I did think it might actually end up clean but the boys do get their down and dirty on! Not explicit, but well written. Right level of heat for this book. It didn't seem the 200 odd pages its billed at, so a little longer than the usual hangover cure, but it landed in my queue just at the right time, so I'm filing it as such. A great little read. 4 stars **same worded review will appear elsewhere**

***** LOVE HAS NO GENDER ***** Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis – 5 stars Lavender Fields is the third book I’ve read by Natalina Reis and it’s my favorite so far. It’s the story of Sky Heavensent (who is an angel of death), Caleb Pierce and his sister Joan. It’s an “angelic” romance with suspense and drama. This story also has a sense of humor about itself. Joan adds an interesting twist to the mix and I’m hopeful Ms. Reis writes Joan’s story in the future as that girl deserves a book of her own! I really enjoyed this story. The characters where quickly developed, the settings perfectly described and the story moved at a great pace. Sky and Caleb’s relationship was written in such a way that the emotion and physicality of their relationship was not lost during the mostly “closed door” sex scenes. While this story is about angels, it does not have religious overtones or judgements. There is a depth to the morality of right and wrong, light and dark, good and evil that was written perfectly for me. This book had a different twist for me. It’s not your normal Archangel Gabriel and Michael type of story. The dialog between Gabriel and Sky really intrigued me. It got me thinking about what it would be like to be in that type of setting and how destiny really plays a role in our lives. I think this book is going to stick with me for a while. I very much recommend this story book.

Lavender Fields by Natalina Reis is paranormal romance story about love at first sight and the struggles that follow. This story will make you laugh, have compassion, suspense and of course romance. I love this author's stories as they are creative and engaging. Her ability to create characters that pop right of the page make the story can't put it down type book. They are connectable and they will pull you right into their world. You will need to see what happens to them and you will just plain fall in love with them. The author's attention to detail in this book is both creative and attention grabbing. Find out what happens to these characters as they start a discovery of friendship and love. Sky Heavensent is a angel of death, his job is to collect the souls of the recently departed. He is known as a liability to his boss and friends, he puts his heart and soul in everything he does. When he meets Caleb Pierce, it is love at first sight. What will happen when he realizes that Caleb's soul is the one he is supposed to harvest? To save him, he would be breaking the most sacred angelic directives. Already feeling that he is in way to deep he chooses to not think of the consequences but go with his heart. Danger and mayhem follow but he does everything he can to protect his lavender eyed man. Sky and Caleb's relationship is one that is a little different. It is love at first sight but yet there is something more to it. Caleb is human and Sky is an angel but they seem to have formed a connection, a bond. When Sky decides to throw out the consequences, will it bring more danger to him and Caleb? Caleb was supposed to die but it that really his fate? Sky is a very strong character in this book. He is gorgeous and is pretty independent. He doesn't care what anyone thinks, he just wants to do what is right. He leads his life by his heart and not always with his head. Caleb in my opinion is not as strong. He seems to know what he wants but he is really overly protective of his sister which can be a good thing and bad. Both, Sky and Caleb are not sure what the other feels for the other. You just want to shake them and tell them to wake up and see. The secondary characters in this book are good and bad. You love some and hate others. Caleb's sister is funny, outgoing and not afraid of anything really. She is the spunky teenager and I think you will love her. All the characters seem to connect to each other and really make the story flow. I am not sure how many of Natalina Reis's books I have read but this has to be one of my favorite of hers. I can't wait to see what else she has for us next! Natalina lives in Virginia where she spends her days teaching English as a second language to elementary children. She wrote her first story at the age of 13 and she ventured with other genes but romance is the one she always comes back to. When she is not writing she spends her time with her husband and two adult sons. Once again, this author has given me a journey that left me wanting more. I love that about her books, I never know where the book will take me until I open the cover. This book is a fast paced story that will keep you engaged until the end. I couldn't put it down until the last page. I enjoyed the twists and turns that I didn't see coming and I know you will too. I highly suggest this book as I know you will love this book as much as I have.
