LEAP of FAITH
John Doe woke up in a rural hospital without a past, hence his name. The widow, who pulled him to shore after his suicide leap, took him in because she felt sorry for him. The woman's adult daughter was not keen on the idea. The three-way verbal banter between them was rudely interrupted when a young female body washed up on shore behind the woman's beach home. John took charge. And the three of them took upon themselves to solve this gristly murder.
His efforts to solve this crime lead him on a wild goose chase that includes an indigenous whale hunt and an unplanned boat ride to Mexico with the murderers, where he is left stranded without ID or a way home, and he does not speak the language.
With the help of a twelve-year-old Mexican girl who also speaks English, and whose mother was a hooker, he is able to hire a coyote, for a daring escape across the border. And then there was the surprise Balloon ride, and of course, an unexpected run-in with a Bigfoot.

About the Author

DL Sigler was born in rural Ohio. His education included some college at Kent State University. After dodging that bullet, he quit school and was then drafted. So, he ended up in the Marines, which was quite a rude awakening. Three years later and honorably discharged, he decided it was time to settle down and find a wife.
He found her in Alaska and settled there. Eighteen years and four kids later, he moved to an island a bit north of Seattle. He found the weather there much more to his liking than Alaska, or Ohio, and he stayed. He now writes and sails in his spare time.
