How can you not fall in love with Psmith with a 'P'? He is the funniest character that I have come across in the literary world. If there is anybody who can be relied upon to do only the most unexpected and eccentric thing in the world, it is Psmith, and of course his creator Wodehouse. It is my opinion that Leave it to Psmith is the best book that Wodehouse has written. Of course the Emsworth and Jeeves series are just as good when it comes to plot , storyline and humour. But none of them have the unique character called Psmith. Written in , Wodehouse's signature style, the humour is inescapable. Reading this book is like taking a joyride on you favorite coaster. Recommended for those moody days when you feel like screaming your guts out with frustration. Nothing can lift your spirits like this. Nowhere near realistic , this book is not meant to be taken seriously. But it is such fun that you can hardly ever put it down. The best thing about the book is that, it can never get old. No matter how many times you read it you will want to read it again. I had no sooner finished the library book I had read almost ten years ago than I knew that I had to go down and get my own copy. I am sure you will do so too. The best thing is, that children can enjoy it as well as you.You can even read it to your little ones The humour never for once is obscene or vulgar or in anyway improper. So even if you are the most strict moralist , you can enjoy this book without cringing for once. Buy it, you will not regret.

Psmith combines all the elements of a great story. Memorable characters, witty dialogue, clever humor and predicaments a-plenty for the characters to navigate through. I cannot recall ever having laughed so hard when reading as I did when reading Psmith's banter with an English gentleman about his umbrella. Psmith is the type of character with such a laid back and free spirited personality, that he always finds himself in various humorous situations. I would liken the humor to a slightly more British version of Vonnegut.

This book is really funny with lots of twist and turns that will leave you boggled. Well written, with the usual great babbling Wodehouse style.
