I love almost every song on this CD. I am starting to like it even more than the first. If you are a Daughtry fan, you will definitely want this in your collection. My favorites are: You Don't Belong, Ghost of Me, September, Call Your Name and Open Up Your Eyes.

I could not wait for the release of Daughtry new CD. His frist release is my favorite go to when I need a lift up. This one will be the same double dose! Love it! Well worth the wait. I've played it over and over and over again and this is only my second day of owning it. It's a good thing.

Daughtry is Daughtry - nothing really stands out to me on this album but it is good non-the-less.

When I listened to Daughtry's first CD, I was really disappointed - not in his vocals, but in the songs. They all sounded alike and were very predictable. Talk about a fast learner ... on this CD the band just rocks out and Daughtry's vocals show why he should have won the American Idol contest that year. He adds all these little nuances in and around his lead vocal line that dresses up the songs in vocal layers, just as the guitarists get to layer their guitars. It's total ear candy and nearly addictive. I often have one or more of the songs each day looping in my head, over and over. The production is flawless, the arrangements are just right (often leaving the listener wishing the song would go on), and the flow of one song to another really works well. All-in-all, if you like melodic rock and got off in the past on groups like Def Leppard (think layers of guitars and vocals - but with better drums), you'll love this!

Daughtry's 2nd album is great just like the first one. I think that he could have done something a little different (not as much like his first one), though, but the songs still sound very good! I really like No Surprise!

I went to BN last night to pick up this CD and on the way home I popped it into my car cd player. Every song on this album is emotional and soulful to me. I really enjoyed the first album and the second one is just as a good. Chris's voice is amazing and I would definately recommend this album to his fans, as well as those fans of Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, and similar. Same soulful and passionate kind of music that the band has always played.

Sophomore efforts are always tricky. As an artist you want to tap new creative moods and styles while maintaining that connection your fans have after a hit first album. This album delivers both some changes in Daughtry's style, the melodic tones and the strong lyrics that make Daughtry so interesting and listen-able. The first single on this album, however, is a clear Nickelback (Chad Kroeger) song that Chris's voice so perfectly fits. The lyrics throughout the album have poignant moments and blend perfectly with the solid musical blend that threads through this album as well as it did the first. Very easy to listen to and throughly enjoy even if it might not be considered a Led Zep IV album. Of course, neither has any AC/DC albums and look where they are today.

I only wish he would do more "rock" songs and less of the ballad types, but it is good music. I could listen to Daughtry all day..

This album is definitely a winner. It does not stray very far from Daughtry's debut album, which is actually a positive aspect. It does, however, have more ballad-y songs than the first album, which takes a little away from Chris' rocker persona. However, this is definitely not a sophomore slump. Tracks such as Tennessee Line and Life After You are beautiful ballads, whereas Supernatural and Everytime You Turn Around really rock out.
