There is more than manure in the pile and the comical dialogue with the diverse characters like Stella, a Harley riding, tattooed woman with a distinct sense of right and wrong, made this a fun and relaxing romance that is a part of a stand alone series.

Leave Tomorrow  Behind (Dec 12) (ON GOODREADS) At the county fair, things aren't going exactly as planned.  The kids from 4-H are here, showing their animals, as usual, but everyone is put on high alert when cows begin getting sick. Not just 1 animal, but 3 cows are sick and all belong to the same family. Which in itself is the beginning of a mystery. But when a young country music star is killed at the fair, everything and everyone start to go from bad to worse. I enjoyed this book, and I loved the setting of it. There is nothing like a fair. I don't think I have ever read anything by Judy Clemons, but you can be sure that I will in the future. I found the characters very believable, and the background of the farm didn't take away from the fair setting at all. I give this book a solid 5 star rating.

Leave Tomorrow Behind is the sixth book in the A Stella Crown Mystery series. I've been waiting some time for the next book in this entertaining series. But it was worth the wait. Stella's has a full plate going for her. Nick, her fiancee, is in the early stages of MS, they are busy planning their wedding, it's time for the 4-H County fair to begin, in addition to running her dairy farm. Added to all this Stella's future sister-in-law, Miranda, is visiting trying to plan the wedding of the year for Stella. Miranda has hasn't a clue as to what the word "no" means. Stella and Nick head off to the fair to watch the 4-Her's move in there animals and set up their stalls. As everyone is settling in, the Gregg family is bringing in their cows. Stella soon has words with Mr. Gregg over a comment she made about his daughters not raising their cows. On the night of the concert, starring rising star Rikki Raines, Stella and Nick head over to watch the show. At the end of the show Stella sees Mr. Gregg in a heated argument with Rikki. Gregg has Rikki under contract at his record company and is a man of questionable ethics. Shortly after seeing this, Stella finds Rikki body on a manure wagon, dead. Stella wants to make sure that the police are looking in all the right places and begins to look for what happened with Rikki after the end of the show and when she found her dead. Even though Miranda appears to be clueless as to what Stella wants for her wedding, the things Miranda put her through provide some comical relief to the story. I'm looking forward to see if Miranda has any thoughts on the ending. Looking forward to the next book to see how things are going on the dairy farm.
