Unaware of that Concentric exists, a sector within the government of the United States is fighting an endless war against an elusive network of hell bent international and domestic enemies. When dirty work needs to be done, such projects are most often handed over to a contracted front company. A man named Terrance Roberts, AKA T-Rock, is a hardened, middle-aged mercenary working for such a company, called Fist of the South Star Networking (FSSN). Having survived the Vietnam War, a harsh stay in an Oklahoma prison, and induction into the FSSN, he has been transformed into an emotionless, disciplined hit man who has done his job without question or remorse for almost twenty years.
Like a landscape repopulating with plant life after a nuclear holocaust, T-Rock is becoming human again, and seeks to leave his life as a mercenary, for good. His eye is set on a warm lakefront community with sociable people who accept him, and have no idea of the projects that continue to encompass his life. Before he is free, he must fulfill one last obligation. The last project, however, could prove to be the most deadly-- for him, and the entire nation.
Unknowingly, T-Rock has participated in a project that has infuriated Concentric, and the petroleum empire. In a world of only villains and unlikely allies, T-Rock is left for dead during his final project while Concentric engages the leaders of the FSSN on a personal level. With the fate of innocent millions on the line, T-Rock steps up in his darkest hour as the hero who fights to save North America from a crippling, horrific fate. A realistic story of action, romance, conspiracy, infiltrations, unique weaponry, trickery, twists, and turns, Left for Dead delivers.
