About the Author
Aside from her family and her Savior, Robin Patchen has two loves—writing and traveling. If she could combine them, she’d spend a lot of time sitting in front of her laptop at sidewalk cafes and ski lodges and beachside burger joints. She’d visit every place in the entire world—twice, if possible—and craft stories and tell people about her Savior. Alas, time is too short and money is too scarce for Patchen to traipse all over the globe, even if her husband and kids wanted to go with her. So she stays in Oklahoma, shares the Good News when she can, and writes to illustrate the unending grace of God through the power and magic of story.

Wow, I finished this ebook in two days...(if I hadn’t needed to sleep it would have been one day)! A gripping story with strong faith filled characters. The suspense had me literally biting my nails. (I needed to go with Chelsea and Tabby for a manicure.) Chelsea comes back home after thirteen years abroad in school. Her mother’s untimely death has her grieving and wondering how this accident could have possibly happened. She now feels the responsibility of running her parent’s clothing company. But attempts are being made on her life and she has no where to turn until God brings Dylan into her life. He’s a private investigator and is drawn into her story and realizes she needs his help. This was a fast paced story with a very surprising ending. I had my suspicions but was not totally convinced until the last few pages. (Don’t peek, it will ruin it for you!) Adding to the beauty of the story was the friendship and romance blossoming between two people in dire circumstances. You will find that your time has been well spent as you jump into the pages of this novel. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through the publisher but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
This has been a great series, and Legacy Reclaimed has just made it better. Does a "two-bit" private eye have what it takes to protect a wealthy clothing manufacturing heiress? Can she allow him to do that? Can they figure out who wants her dead? I loved the character development that Ms Panchen skillfully weaves into her story. And the plot--WOW! As I read this book, I had one character in mind for the bad guy. But, as I read on I had second and third thoughts. Several possibilities were presented. Could there be more than one? The romance that develops between Dylan and Chelsea was nice, though it seemed to go too fast. The characters seemed to think so, too. It was sweet, I must admit. I had to admire Dylan. For a two-bit detective, he had a lot of savvy. This is a good read.
Robin Patchen has created another terrific, suspenseful, and romantic book. It is a page-turning novel that I read in one day. Chelsea Hamilton has returned to the U.S. from abroad because of her mother's untimely death in a car accident. However, very soon afterward, attempts are made to end Chelsea's life, and false rumors are being circulated about the company she has now inherited. Someone obviously wants Chelsea out of the way. Suspicions begin to arise as to the true nature of her mother's presumed accident, especially in light of her father's murder some years earlier. Former copy turned PI, Dylan O'Donnell, starts an investigation, never dreaming what will eventually come to light and how his life and Chelsea's will change. As the stakes rise and Dylan is tying desperately to protect her, he and Chelsea begin to realize they care deeply for each other hope they survive to have a future together. But he has to find out who wants Chelsea out of the picture and why. There are many twists and turns in this book which certainly kept my interest, and I would highly recommend it.
Another enjoyable story by Robin Patchen set in the vicinity of the fictional town of Nutfield, New Hampshire. Several of the characters are familiar, having appeared first in one of her previous books. Chelsea is the heroine of this story. The story opens with her having just returned home from Paris for her mother’s funeral. Although she has lived a life of privilege, she has truly missed home and her mother. After getting pushed off a cliff the morning after her mother’s funeral and being left for dead, she tenaciously finds her way to safety, gets medical help, and leaves town to hide while the police search for her would-be murderer. Meeting Dylan O’Donnell, a private investigator, is providential. The action ramps up quickly from the first chapter and continues almost non-stop to the conclusion. I appreciated the strong faith shared by Chelsea and Dylan. I think the story would have had a different ending without their faith. The suspense was tangible and compelling, grabbing and holding the reader all the way, never knowing what would happen next while trying to figure things out. Even though I thought I was starting to figure out the guilty party two or three times, I had to wait until the end to get the answers to the who and why questions. I never want to meet any of the bad guys in Robin’s books, but I think I would enjoy spending some time visiting a place like Nutfield. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
Wow! The author has done it again. I started this book late in the day and was unable to put it down to accomplish anything until I reached that last period. There is some of everything you love about suspense with a little romance in this third book of The Legacy series. It is a page-turner that had me guessing the guilt of most every person the author introduces. Chelsea Hamilton returns to New Hampshire after an extended time away, the sad occasion being the death of her mother. Now she is the only surviving member of her family and thus the largest shareholder in the struggling company her parents started. How can she possibly turn things around when it appears someone is trying to kill her? Accidents, murder, shootings, sabotage and missing documents keep you at the edge of your seat and demand you read on until you find explanations for all of your questions.
