About the Author

Bree Dahlia is an unconventional romance junkie. She loves reading it but adores writing it even more. Her stories range from lighthearted to sizzling with that satisfying Happily Ever After ending and a touch of the unexpected. She favors themes of friendship, forgiveness, and unconditional love with alpha characters and eccentric tastes.

She holds degrees that she does nothing with and has experienced a long string of jobs that have left her unfulfilled. Only as an author, has she truly found her passion. When not crafting stories in her small Wisconsin town, she hikes unbeaten trails, watches hockey games, and wishes she didn’t detest cooking so much.

Dahlia is her middle name. Her last name is more suitable for a horror writer.

Legal is five stars for sure. First time I've read a book with the women being so much older the the man and I loved it.

Having music woven through was a plus for me. Also, I loved the glimpse into an unusual relationship and the struggle between passionate truth and the pressure of expectations.

I kept avoiding this when it came up in my search because of the age difference. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. The author was able to get me to sympathize with both the main characters. She went on a little too much about her age, and he was just adorable. Turned out he was actually more mature than she was. The epilogue was a really nice finishing touch. 4 out of 5 because of some editing issues that were distracting. Not a cliffhanger.

This book was very realistic. However, the author made Jullian out to be weak, insecure, pathetic, and totally imature even though she was supposed to be an older, independent, mature, business woman. Her character was so annoying throughout the whole book. She was a book of insecurities and fears. And Chase was a good guy and did not deserve someone like her. I found her character too needy and pathetic. She did not fit into the image of "cougar." The author clearly has no experience in this type of relationship. I will not read the rest of the series. It is not interesting or captivating enough to hold my attention. Gtx

This book was interesting. Jillian was very fickle and didn’t really know what she wanted. However, it is understandable that she was wary of the age difference. I found the age difference to be weird because Jillian is only about five years younger than Chase’s mom and Chase is three years older than Jillian’s stepson. However, this made for an interesting plot and made me wonder how people in similar relationships feel in the real world.

Loved the storyline! Hate it when a story ends…. There’s more to tell in this story. Wish there would be a sequel. ?

I can't tell you exactly why but I normally veer away from the older woman younger man romances - but when I was offered a complimentary copy of this book I fell in love with the cover and the blurb - It just felt fun -so I thought "What the heck" - and I am so glad I did! This is a fabulously funny and emotional journey as Jillian battles with her wants and needs versus the scorn of going against societies norms Jillian has a lot of reasons that feel valid to her for being wary of entering a relationship with a younger man and some of the supporting characters only increase the validity of those reasons - will she finally step of the box and grasp her happiness or will she let others dictate her life for her? Chase is the crown jewel in this story ( though Jillian's BFF is a strong contender ) He is funny, intelligent, sexy the perfect package - and we all know what they say about getting better with age An all-around light and fun read that I would definitely recommend

This was an amazing read. I've never read an older woman/younger man as good as Legal. Chase is 15 years younger than Jillian but he doesn't care. He sees a beautiful woman and he goes after what he wants. Jillian sees a sexy, young man who she has no business dating as he's only 3 years older than her stepson. This is the main issue throughout the whole book but it was so beautifully and thoughtfully written. It was a wonderful read and although a second book follows, this can easily be read as a Stand-alone. But why stop here? Why not read more of the amazing Bree's writing?! My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read.

First I have to say thanks to Xpresso book tours for allowing me to read a review copy of this book. I really ended up enjoying it a lot! The story was great, the sex scenes were really hot, and I really loved the characters. I was first drawn to the story because it is about an older woman with a younger man, and I personally like younger men. So that made the story fun for me. And man, Chase sounded like a total hottie! The first night when they met and had their "one-night stand", wow, that was really sexy and mind-blowing. Perry is the main character Jillian's best friend, as well as Jillian's brother's girlfriend. And while I adore Perry, and what a great friend she is, not to mention how snarky and fun she is, if she was my friend? And she kept putting me in the awkward situations of running into the guy I didn't want to see, or protested that I didn't want to see, well, she and I would have some major words! Now yeah, I know it was really all for the best, as Chase and Jillian totally belong together. But still, I was so ready to slap Perry for Jillian! While I also understood all the reasons Jillian didn't want to have an actual "relationship" beyond friends with benefits with this guy who was 15 years younger than she was, at a certain point her stubbornness just got ridiculous. To the point for me, that even if it was part of the conflict/suspense of the story, I marked it down from a 5 star to a 4 star book. Or maybe it is a 4.5 star rating for me. Because I really did enjoy this book. When I would start reading it, it was really hard to stop to do anything else, like work, go to sleep, etc. I did like the way the author did a last chapter from Chase's viewpoint, and it left me hoping for a sequel. Grab this book for a fun, sexy read!
