I added this gem to our collection after buying and loving "Thirteens" (which is a masterpiece). This is Leona sounding more like early Joni Mitchell or early Edie Brickell. Leona does a very nice job of walking the line being being earnest and melodic versus sounding sappy and trite. Lots of guitars and hushed tones, and of course that silken voice. This is from the gut, touching stuff that stands up to repeated listening. "Star signs" tugs at my heart every time. And isn't that what listening to music is all about? Ms. Naess deserves more praise and fame as a songwriter than she currently receives. My wife and I eagerly await new work!

Leona Naess is an amazing and talented musician. She has a beautiful voice and absolutely wonderful music. I've listened to several tracks on this cd and can't wait to buy it!! My favorite is definitely Ballerina. If you haven't heard her music I suggest listening to it NOW!!!

I've got to say that out of all three of Leona's albums, this recent self-titled CD is definitly my choice. She has come a long way since her first release, "Comatised". Leona's overall style and lyrics have matured, which is apparent through her laid- back rock style and beautiful/haunting voice. If you're not familiar with Leona, then I would reccomend this album to acquaint yourself with her because she's definitly matured and come a long way as an artist.
