Ms. Rowland's poems are beautiful and haunting at the same time. I find myself re-reading each poem and saying, "Yeah, I've seen that. It's been captured perfectly." Like "Jealousy" or "Hurry Up and Wait". Emotions, times, places, all captured with consummate skill.
P. S. Rowland’s Lest We Forget Life’s Passion is composed of daily, even hourly, thoughts and observations. Rowland has a firm grasp on words and the use of language to not only pour out from the depths of her soul; she sweeps in and carries readers on an enlightened flow. Whether you are being made to Feel the Connection of the strength of the power of love or simply reflect on what is Cracked and Broken, the lyrics inspire. This collection makes you want to go out and live. And then once you’ve lived, sit back and reflect on your choices – favorable and not so favorable. You see, Rowland has clearly lived and now offers such skillful insight that you are instantly a part of that journey. I can only imagine the creative process at work, for P. S. Rowland must literally pour out a bit of herself each time. I enjoyed the Reflective Journey of Rowland’s work, and encourage other poetry lovers to connect with this exceptional poet’s debut release.
