This book is a simple study of flower photography and it is ENTIRELY pictorial. The vast majority of images we taken in studio with two light sources and a variety of neutral backdrop papers. Usually the main light was up, to the left of the photographer and somewhat high to the subject; about 30 degrees elevated and bounced from a 36 inch white umbrella. The unit used was an Alien Bees B1600 adjusted to output f16 at the subject as measured by a Sekonic strobe meter.
The second light used was an old Vivitar 283 flash unit placed behind and right of the subject. It was trigger by an add-on slave unit and adjusted to output f5.6 at the subject.
A variety of cameras were used, both film and digital and all equipped with medium telephoto macro lenses and fixed focus prime lenses for larger area images.
