About the Author

Brenda Poarch grew up in the Church of Christ, married her high school sweetheart and had three beautiful children and two amazing grandchildren. She has loved and served God in every phase of her life.

However, it wasn't until her battle with breast cancer in 1999 that she discovered her love for writing. Since that time she has been published in Christian Woman magazine several times and was featured as a guest columnist for her local newspaper. She also has a love for public speaking and has served as a speaker for ladies' day events in multiple states.

In 2006 Brenda was hit with another round of illness that included salmonella poisoning, shingles, and yet another form of cancer. These back to back illness coupled with the loss of her mother, empty nest, a move and her husband's constant travel for work left her alone and bedridden for many years.

This lesson series was born from the ashes of years of struggle and walking with God through the midst of the storms. Even during her illnesses, Brenda's desire share God's word never left her.
Brenda fully believes that we must not only walk with God, but we must walk together as sisters who love God and one another.

It is her deepest desire that women of all ages sit down together and have REAL conversations about the day to day struggles we all have making it through this journey called life.

Only when we GET REAL with one another, can we fully experience the blessings that God created for us all to enjoy while we wait for His return!
