No kid--no matter how motivated--is going to memorize Italian words from huge lists, even if the pictures are quite colorful. I was disappointed when this book arrived. I had hoped it would have scenarios, like ordering food at a restaurant or how to ask directions. It's also useless for them to read an Italian word without knowing how to pronounce it. There should be an audio link for hearing words on the internet. If a child already knows Italian, this might work as a review but otherwise, e inutile (it's useless).
